About Silver Rose Duo:

Award winning Concert Flutist Kim Fleuchaus and international performing guitarist Julie Goldberg, blend their lyrical playing, fiery technique, and lively interpretations into the Silver-Rose Duo. Kim and Julie began their duo in 2001 while studying at Northwestern University. Each have gone on to earn critical acclaim as soloists, chamber musicians, musical scholars, and sought after instructors. Ms. Fleuchaus and Dr. Goldberg share the desire to communicate, connect, and educate through music. They have presented concerts and workshops throughout the U.S.

Kim Fleuchaus has been heard on commercials, radio, stage, film, and CD recordings. As a symphony musician, she has performed with many orchestras, including the Milwaukee, Charlotte, Elgin, Rockford and South Bend Symphony Orchestras, the South Carolina and Illinois Philharmonic Orchestras, and the Cube Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, and has appeared as soloist with numerous ensembles and orchestras. She holds music degrees from Northwestern and Bethel Universities, and has performed at both the Kennedy Center and the White House. She is a founding member of the Sapphire Winds Woodwind Quintet and performs in numerous other chamber ensembles. An active freelance musician, she performs throughout the U.S. and Canada on the flute and the Egyptian nay. In addition to teaching at Trinity Christian College, she is the Flute Choir Director for School District 219 and maintains private teaching studios in Niles and Lincolnshire.

Named Guitarist of the year by Classical Guitar Alive, internationally-broadcast radio program, Julie Goldberg is the first guitarist to receive a Doctorate in Music Performance from Northwestern University, and holds degrees from the Chicago Musical College, and College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. Julie has performed solo recitals in New York, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Michigan and Washington, D.C. and has been featured on the internationally known Dame Myra Hess Concert Series.
