Adrianne Blanks & The Oracles, from Asheville North Carolina, bring both the swankiest and the grittiest sounds of the 60s spotlighting songs with a spellbinding feel by The Zombies, The Turtles, The Beatles, Francoise Hardy, and Serge Gainsbourg. They’ll keep you on your toes from spy jazz to country & blues and back again. With over a decade of performance experience, Adrianne Blanks will be sure to bewitch you with her powerhouse vocals.
Asheville-based singer-songwriter and front woman Adrianne Blanks has written “impressive melodies full of enviable talent and inspiration.” (Roadie Music). Her music has been heard on WNCW, 98.1 The River, Buzz Radio Asheville, Asheville FM, and WTZQ. Adrianne Blanks & The Oracles have played The NC Arboretum, The Grey Eagle, One World Brewing West, Restoration Hotel, Monte Vista Hotel, Sweeten Creek Brewing, The 2nd Act, Henderson Arts Council’s La vie en rose Wine & Arts Festival, The Asheville VeganFest as well as the Nashville VegFest, Georgia VegFest, The Primavera Roadhouse in Lansing, NC, Cedar Point Amusement Park in Ohio, Epiphany Center for the Arts and The Golden Dagger in Chicago.
Originally from Chicago, Ms. Blanks started her professional career in opera. Her opera career took her as far as Italy to perform lead roles in Le Nozze di Figaro and The Magic Flute. She has sung with The Lyric Opera of Chicago and Chicago Opera Theater. Career highlights include Hermia in Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Opera Naples, Ellie Mae Shipley in Showboat with the Natchez Festival of Music, and Mae in Ricky Ian Gordon’s The Grapes of Wrath with Sugar Creek Opera.
Adrianne maintains an active career singing both her original music and championing some of her favorite songwriters. She is a published model and cover model for Appalachian Life Magazine. She has been in the Top 20 most requested songs on Buzz Radio Asheville and has been interviewed on Asheville FM.
