About Gayun Cannon:
Self-produced and multi-instrumentalist Chicago Singer Gayun Cannon is known for creating an essence of healing within each of her songs, whether it is about love or her own trials and tribulations through life. Her main intention is for her listeners to tap into their emotions and connect through her music. Incorporating her own infectious melodies with influences from both of her Chinese and Black backgrounds, Gayun has created a sound that is not bounded by just one genre. With her first drop being in 2021, Gayun’s first and most popular project, “Brown Sugar Baby” gives her listeners a sense of what it is like to heal as a Black woman.
About: Stranded Civilians:
Hailing from the North Side, Tony Santana and WhoIsAubry come together as the group, "Stranded Civilians". With influences from OutKast, The Cool Kids, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and many more, Stranded Civilians uses their inspirations as a base for the creation of "alternative rap". With their versatility, Stranded curates a sound that can be enjoyed by all, for any given moment.
About: M.E.H:
Music has been a pivotal part of m.e.h.'s life. She began writing songs when she was 5 or so. Throughout most years of her life, music was implemented in some way. Whether that was playing the violin in the 3rd grade, singing in the choir all her life, performing in talent shows, and finally started to get gigs around Annapolis, MD when she was 14 years old. Now 22 years old, she continues to fuel this passion in Chicago, IL. She studied Contemporary, Urban and Popular Music at Columbia College Chicago. Since she got to Chicago, m.e.h. has been performing wherever she can and working on perfecting her craft. She is quite excited to share what is in store.
About Kaicrewsade:
Chicago’s Independent Artist , Rapper, and Mental health activist. Kaicrewsade is a young talented man who’s has taken inspiration from the Chicago 2012 -2016 Mixtape culture, hailing from the tree branch of artist such as, Chance the rapper, Noname and Saba. Kaicrewsade Dropped his groundbreaking Ep “ Steve’s Demo” in 2021 and hasn’t stopped since, the young mental health activist is also in charge of hosting his own poetry club dedicated to mental health, The young man is on the rise to do something magnificent for the city of Chicago and the Chicago creative art scene.
