About:

Peter Demuth / Singer Songwriter has been writing original folk-pop music since 1972. He has played all over the world including New York, Liverpool, London, Zurich, Paris, Baltimore, Key West, and Chicago. During his life to date he has composed over 150 songs. Many of these tunes have been recorded on one of his eight CDs which include, The Hero Who Never Quits, The Lot of the Average Man, Somewhere in Spare Moments, The Test of Time, Watchwords, Noah, 99 Whole Days, and Counting to infinity. His major influences include the Beatles, especially John Lennon, the Bee Gees, the Rolling Stones, James Taylor, and Bob Dylan. The music is psychological in nature. It can be light or it can pull you under. It is sometimes biographical but usually has a connection to the universal. It attempts to make sense of some emotional pull, a past experience, or an existential challenge - always with the purpose of telling a story. Peter works by day as a Clinical Psychologist & Jungian Analyst and currently resides in Evanston, Illinois (since 1998). He lives with his wife Karen (of 32 years) and his 20 y/o son Noah who is away at college.
