About:Â
The first half of the evening features students of pianist Amy Wurtz presenting their annual Composer Discovery Project. Students of all ages and levels will play works by this year's composer, the wonderful William Gillock, and also give the audience a window into the life and work of this composer beloved by piano students the world over. Students will also perform original compositions inspired by their study of his work. The second half of the evening features the Wurtz-Berger Duo playing works for 'cello and piano which will be part of their forthcoming second album.Â
