About:
Johnnie Brown born in Mississippi begin singing as a child in the choir of his fathers church. He was later encouraged as an adult by his siblings and friends to take singing more seriously, So Johnnie started singing Karaoke.
Johnnie Brown deciding to take his vision as a performer to the next level, formed a band and has since established a reputable name for himself performing locally within the surrounding areas of St. Paul and Minneapolis Minnesota.
Johnnie Brown attributes his love of music to the great sounds of Philadelphia, and to that which personifies the legendary Teddy Pendergrass; Using his raspy baritone voice, Johnnie delivers the songs of Teddy P. like none other.
Johnnie Brown debuted his first ever tribute to Teddy Pendergrass show in 2014 to a sold out audience, filling the 550 seated Cowels Center in Minneapolis and remains a highly requested tribute performance to date.
With re-occurring sold out performances at Dakota’s (MNPLS MN) Crooner’s (MNPLS MN) Ordway (MNPLS MN), featured appearances w/ Mick Sterling Presents, Johnnie Brown has also performed for the Chanhassen Dinner Theater, (Chanhassen MN) the benefit of Ujamaa foundation, as well as community benefits and other anniversary celebrations. Johnnie continues to strive to make a difference in the entertainment community.
