About:

Join Morgan Pirtle and her band on November 6th, 2021 at Epiphany Center for the Arts as we celebrate the release of her new single, “Lost in a World.” Available on all streaming platforms on November 5th, 2021. This evening of music will feature an opening set by vocalist and guitarist Nashon Holloway

Morgan Pirtle is a versatile vocalist, composer, and educator in Chicago. She blends jazz and contemporary influences to create ethereal and impactful soundscapes within her original music. In the word of Ryan Rosenberger, “Pirtle is a storyteller through song. Her lyrics are conceptual and introspective, with each song of hers serving as a tightly-woven meditation on a certain aspect of herself.” Morgan is a Luminarts Fellow in Jazz and recognized as an Outstanding Undergraduate Vocalist in the 2018 DownBeat Student Music Awards. Her debut EP “Muse” was released on April 18th, 2019. It is available on all streaming platforms. Look out for her upcoming single, “Lost in a World” available on all streaming platforms on November 5th, 2021. Her band features Aaron Day - Guitar, Brendan Doshi - Piano, Jackson Jay Kidder - Bass/Vocals, Nashon Holloway - Vocals, and Juan Pastor - Drums

“With a name meaning “oracle,” Nashon Holloway was born to sing healing. Kalamazoo born and bred, Nashon is an alternative soul-folk singer/songwriter, composer and guitarist with a four-octave range. Holloway has been referred to as “crisp and colorful” by NPR Music, and can be heard singing on various feature films, indie films, video games - as well as background vocals for artists such as Jake Zyrus and Morgan Pirtle. Often overheard saying “harmony is a lifestyle," her original music is an invitation to divinely align body, soul and spirit. As seen on The Oprah Winfrey Show with David Foster, with Hans Zimmer (composer for films such as The Lion King, The Dark Knight, Inception), with Bobby McFerrin, associated acts include Drake, Kelly Rowland and more!
