TCB remounts the debut program from its 2016 inaugural season, featuring work of Monteverdi and Fernandez.   

Friday, Sept 1  
7:30pm Gavilan Brothers
Brothers 
(Epiphany-Hall) 
The duo will be performing original music from the brother's breathtaking album, “Brothers”, composed by Aldo Lopez-Gavilan and edited for violin and piano by Ilmar Gavilan. “Epilogue”, a program highlight, was premiered in the USA by Joshua Bell in 2016 at the Lincoln Center.

A casual 30-40 minute cabaret-style performance featuring festival artist sharing some of their favorite tunes from multiple genres.

Featuring selected young artists in a public masterclass with Maestro Rubén Dubrovsky.

Between Breaths

New works written for TCP by Missy Mazzoli, Tyondai Braxton, Ayanna Woods, and a new work composed by TCP.

3:00pm Tierra Whetstone-Christian & Third Coast Baroque
Bach & Beyond: A Pilgrimage of Faith through Spirituals and the B Minor Mass
(Epiphany Hall)
Spirituals, curated and performed by Tierra Whetstone-Christian, provide an intimate yet bold commentary on J.S. Bach’s masterwork. This marks the first LIVE performance of Bach’s B Minor Mass in Chicago since 2019.
