About Vernard Burton:

Vernard is a go-to studio session singer in Chicago with over a decade of BGV credits including hits for Grammy Award Winners Donald Lawrence, Smokie Norful and Take 6. Vernard is a student of soul crooners and his signature voice is steeped in a rich musical heritage that will time and again awaken the heart and electrify your soul.

About Carya Holmes:

Carya Holmes is a versatile vocalist with over 15 years of experience.  Early in her career, Holmes' voice was recognized by several Grammy and Stellar award winning artists like Smokie Norful, Donald Lawrence, Michael McDonald, Marvin Sapp and many more.  She shared the stage with these artists proudly lending background vocals. As a solo artist, Holmes has been honored to open for Chaka Khan at the Taste of Chicago singing the National Anthem. She's also appeared as a guest vocalist in Regina Taylor's play, Crowns, at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago singing Mahalia  Jackson’s, “How I Got Over.”

Debuting several songs from her first album, “FREE,” she stole the hearts of many at Chicago’s Gospel Music Festival and The Black Women’s Expo. Holmes understands that music is an influential form of art, so she shares her story through inspirational lyrics mixed with soulful, rhythm and blues music. She encourages others to never lose hope, keep the peace and always practice love in her upcoming EP releasing this summer. Holmes believes her journey to reach at least one soul through music is worth the ride.
