About: 

Chicago Calling is a band co-led by Juli Wood and Mike Schlick. It features classic jazz and blues tunes performed by some of the greats to come out of Chicago ! Musicians such as Von Freeman, Nat King Cole, Eddie Harris, Johnny Griffin, Clifford Jordan and Gene Ammons. Also some great singers who spent some time in Chicago, Joe Williams, Dinah Washington, Otis Rush  and Carmen McRae.Chicago Calling is Juli Wood - tenor sax and vocals, Mike Allemana - guitar, Matt Ferguson - bass, and Mike Schlick - drums. The band was featured at Buddy Guy's Legends on Sundays for a few years. Come listen to the rich history of Chicago jazz !
