The Opening Reception of DOUBLE/FORCE and gather-seize

Join us on March 10, 6 to 9 pm in the Catacombs for the joint opening reception of Michelle Stone's exhibition gather/seize and Sarah Krepp and Olivia Petrides' exhibition DOUBLE/FORCE!

In DOUBLE/FORCE, Petrides and Krepp both reference turbulent atmospheres and tangled social workings, thus posing questions about the relationship between human action and nature’s limitations.

In gather-seize, Michelle Stone embraces ambiguity, enigma and the shadow side of how an artist creates. Having grown up in a family of artists and freaks, these things feel familiar to Stone, and are concepts she revisits throughout her work. Stone has spent her art life creating paintings and sculptures that question the human condition about what all nature shares in common: growth, transformation, and decay.
