About Czr Prz
Caesar Perez is an urban contemporary/street artist and illustrator. Born and raised in Chicago, he has exhibited internationally, sharing his imaginative creations through large-scale murals, installations, paintings, sculptures and high-profile photo and video projects. His work is thematic and constantly in flux. His subject matter shifts from urban landscapes to natural elements and abstractions of everyday objects. Though his materials range from traditional painting to laser-cut acrylic, his art maintains a strong personal narrative and acute design sensibilities. He cites the Classical Renaissance and Impressionism, as well as contemporary genres such as graffiti and graphic novels, among his influences.
In 2014, Perez was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma. In addition to influencing his work, his illness required him to end his international travels and remain in Chicago for treatment. Now in remission for 2 years, his return to his hometown led to multiple prominent projects for Chicago-based brands. During this period, he also co-founded Ava Grey Designs, a creative agency that he formed with Nick Glazebrook, where he serves as the creative lead.
