Catacombs Gallery
July 19, 2026 - September 20th, 2026
The following work on these walls is tied together by its construction rather than its completed form. What joins the work is not a shared theme in representation and style but a means of making, composed of statements that potentially have nothing in common at all - which is exactly the space LATITUDE was made to support.
This exhibition is a net cast into the vast field of individuals that together make up LATITUDE Chicago’s diverse community - some who do it themselves, some who have the team do it for them, some who have donated their time, and some who have donated their resources and connections. Artists that work in painting, photography, collage, analog or digital process .. artists whose practices are built on personal joy or political justice.
Regardless of the “why”, this collection is born from a mission that holds the door open and welcomes a type of multiplicity that can be difficult to access otherwise. A thread spun from the shared belief that access and education around photographic “Fine Art” production should come without barriers.
curated by Keanna Boyko, Deputy Director of LATITUDE Chicago
LATITUDE is a 501(c)(3) organization that closes the gap between individuals and their ability to access tools, education, community and conversations around visual art.
