About Ava Grey

Ava Grey is an artist duo comprised of Caesar Perez and Nick Glazebrook, a partnership that seamlessly weaves their individual visions and talents. Caesar is an internationally-acclaimed painter and illustrator who focuses on large-scale murals and multidisciplinary art. Nick is an architect and designer who left his computer behind for woodworking and hands-on fabrication. The pair began collaborating in 2013, creating sculptures and installations at their studio in Mana Contemporary Chicago. Since then, the duo has developed an iconic and intricate style known for its use of reclaimed materials. They have worked with major brands such as Pepsi, Red Bull, Coors Light and Riot Fest and have also exhibited art from their iconic series Sub-Americana at SCOPE during Art Basel in Miami. Sub-Americana, part of which is on view here, is made from recycled objects, such as reclaimed skateboard decks and spray paint cans, which are used in America’s subcultures.
