My submitted pieces are about the hard work of being Filipino in forms of items used around a Filipino household, and being a Filipino artist.
ARTIST BIO:
Christopher Robles is a Filipino American Artist & Designer. With a degree in fashion design & advertising, he has been paving his own path as a multidisciplinary artist. Passionate about fashion & painting, his flair to think outside the box created what we all know now to be Qualia. Focused on showcasing upcycled clothing, and painting striking visuals Qualia sees the luxury in taking what some might think is odd and accentuating a visually appealing piece that is unique from its design to its finest detail in stitching. The intentions behind the ideas are just as important if not more. Looking stylish while also trying to minimize the environmental impact on clothing production is something one must not overlook.
