David Richards was born in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1952 and currently lives and works in Chicago, IL. He is a visual artist, writer and educator. He taught Drawing, 3D Design and conducted a Research Studio at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 1982 until 2010. His work has been shown at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; The Chicago Cultural Center; The Illinois State Museum, Springfield, IL; The International Museum of Surgical Science, Chicago, IL; The Kaoshiung Museum of Fine Arts, Kaoshiung, Taiwan, ROC; Phyllis Kind Gallery, Chicago; Compass Rose Gallery, Chicago and many other venues.
