ARTIST STATEMENT:
This piece is a display of the Filipino American experience within the melting pot of America. Cultures are represented as beloved snacks and flavors closely bundled together. Letters are intentionally distorted to focus on the snacks as they are and show togetherness despite language barriers.

ARTIST BIO:
A Chicago-based Filipina artist creating artwork highlighting themes of fantasy, femininity, and food. Jane studies traditional fine art techniques at the Palette and Chisel Art Academy and participates in live painting competitions. Adventuring in a multitude of mediums, Jane aims to create both aesthetic and functional pieces of art.
