ARTIST STATEMENT:
All I Could Name is Eggs and Rice is an unconventional food magazine written and illustrated by Marissa Domantay. The 44 paged magazine contains stories, photos, illustrations, and comics about Marissa’s journey with Filipino food and cooking.

ARTIST BIO:

Marissa Domantay is a queer Filipino-American illustrator, visual development artist, and online content creator. She graduated in 2020 with a BA in Art (and minor in mathematics). She received multiple awards for her leadership and artistic practice such as the Posse Scholarship, Vanguard Award for Equity and Inclusion, and the Anique Ashraf prize. Currently, Marissa continues to pursue her passion in storytelling and art making. In the summer of 2020, she was part of the DeclarASIAN Artists Initiative​. Currently, she is part of Asian in Animation, Sinag and the Filipino Artist Directory. ​

Marissa currently is working in the editorial end of Children’s Publishing and freelancing.
