Horses simultaneously symbolize freedom while associated with production; an example of an obsolete yet dispensable worker. A lone horse named “Jocko” stands centered in a field of dead grass or wheat at dusk, or dawn. Horses simultaneously symbolize freedom while associated with production; an example of an obsolete yet dispensable worker. Drown-proofing is a practice of simultaneousness. During this transitional time in history, I practice drown-proofing using the ebb and flow of recent events to retain my presence through simultaneous acts. These acts involve returning to the land while immersing myself in historical contexts to understand the patterns behind recent events and fortifying my mind to rediscover my current purpose and maintaining my current relationships, while holding space for new, meaningful connections.
