About Katelynn Tomney:

A native New Yorker, Katelynn made the move to Chicago 7 years ago.  Her previously recorded EPs can be heard under the band name "Kate and the black roses", where she is the songwriter, lead vocalist and guitarist. She just released her newest EP “For You” with a coinciding music video shot in Morocco.

She can also be heard singing with her husband in his band “K-Nein” that is an original project, and occasional Grateful Dead cover band. Kate and K-Nein also preform as an acoustic duo, with a single up on all streaming platforms called “Extraordinary ride”, and have an album forthcoming.

Currently Kate lives with her husband and their cattle dog Blume on their farm in Michigan, where they have a music school and are setting up for their first music festival.

Kate is so excited to host the second annual Joni Mitchell tribute and to share her love of Joni Mitchell’s song catalogue with amazing musicians and audiences alike!

“Case of you” was the first song Kate every heard by Joni Mitchell, but “All I want” holds a special place in her heart and she even quoted it in her wedding vows to her husband- “all I really want our love to do, is to bring out the best in me, and in you”

About Erin Daigle:

Erin Daigle is a Chicago-based singer-songwriter. As the daughter of a guitarist/composer, Erin began her musical journey at a young age. Since then, she has moved on from her father’s studio as a background singer, to forging her own way as a vocalist. This former choral educator has graced the stages of Chicago with her soulful and sincere covers of familiar tunes. Graduating from her time as a cover artist, she has now become a thoughtful lyricist in her own original songs. Stayed tuned for this upcoming artists as she begins her solo career.

About Heather Mall:

Heather Mall is a singer-songwriter and music teacher from Chicago. Telling stories through song is her passion and showing up as your authentic self is her motto, and that’s why Joni Mitchell is an inspiration to her.

Heather discovered the genius works of Joni after her music was mentioned several times on the beautiful TV show, ‘This Is Us’. Heather started really honing in on her own songwriting abilities, and was instantly captivated by Joni’s poetic lyricism. A song she’d heard before like Big Yellow Taxi, was seen in a whole new light after truly listening to the lyrics and Heather’s favorite song, Both Sides Now, became a staple song in her life.

Thank you to everyone here tonight, Heather’s family and friends, and to Joni for this universal and eternal art she’s shared with us.

You can find more of Heather’s music on social media @heathermallmusic
