About Jade Maze:

Jade Maze mixes soul, jazz, and pop into one big heart-filled voice. From the first note, you know she is singing about lived experiences. Whether sharing a H.E.R. cover, a jazz standard, or an original song, her delivery is profound and unique. She started out with soul and jazz bands on the West Coast, toured with her original band on the East Coast, and made Chicago her home in the mid-90s, where she split duties between her own band and singing with jazz/blues/contemporary ensembles. She loves the intimacy of duo work as well, especially with guitar, bass, or piano.

Jade also happens to be an award-winning author. Her debut memoir, Walk Until Sunrise, took a first-place world literary prize (Rome), and the follow-up memoir entitled Mercy’s View: Blackout won a 2025 Best Book Pinnacle Achievement Award. The memoirs chronicle her teenage runaway experience, her reentry into society, and her singing career. To offset the intensity of that work, Jade writes short stories where at least one of the story characters is a singer (Music Notes: Tales from an American Singer). They are hilarious!

So come hear some songs, read a book, have a refreshing beverage, and enjoy!
