Join us for the fifth anniversary of Out of the Shadows, the Midwest’s largest annual popping dance festival. Spanning three days, the festival draws over 200 dancers and spectators from around the world for an immersive experience featuring workshops, head-to-head battles, showcases, live music, and art.

Out of the Shadows serves as an authentic representation of Black American street dance culture and its global impact. The festival facilitates cultural exchange, fosters new artistic talent, provides a pivotal platform for local artists, and acts as a gateway for the public to learn about the rich culture of American street dance styles.

This year’s lineup features premier funk DJ Sid Tucky and hip-hop DJ B-SOLE, as well as several renowned popping dance artists from across North America.

Continue the celebration at After the Shadows, the official after party for Out of the Shadows. Join us after the main event for a night of drinks, dancing, and House music spun by Chicago’s own DJ Vader.
