AfriClassical Futures is a music series that foregrounds the accomplishments of Black composers and musicians globally, spanning eras past and present. 

This program centers around Julius Eastman’s work for 10 cellos, The Holy Presence of Joan D’Arc. The piece is a meditation on the saints Joan saw as a youth. In addition to the 10-piece chamber ensemble and conductor there is a prelude for solo voice. This program will also feature a work by guest conductor, Ahmed Al Abaca.
