About:

Abigail Arkley is a Chicago-based recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter. Beginning her musical journey on the piano at age five, she went on to earn a B.M. in Piano Performance before expanding into songwriting, production, and electronic instrumentation.

Curious about the many shapes artistic expression can take, and inspired by creators across the musical spectrum, Abigail formed her solo project in 2021. That year, Abigail released her debut single, “Around You”. In 2024. Abigail released two follow-up singles, “Honey” and “Never Too Young”, quickly attracting the attention of her musical peers. She has performed alongside Indigo de Souza, Ginger Root, Finom, The Criticals, Miloe, and The Ophelias.

Blending bittersweet alt-folk soundscapes with ethereal wave and dream pop, Abigail creates a sonic universe as multifaceted as her artistic influences. Inspired by Oklou, Imogen Heap, The Sundays, and Bon Iver, her songwriting and production explore the hills and valleys of the human experience, pursuing themes of love and purpose in a message that is raw, ingenuous, and cautiously hopeful.

Her debut EP, Metamorph, arrives in November 2026. An open journal of her twenties, the record explores both the beauty and cost of becoming: the lives we must outgrow, the loves that transform us, and the selves we shed and offer up along the way. Created with her closest community members and friends, Metamorph traces Abigail’s evolution and pays tribute to the people, places, and past selves that have shaped her
