About:
This holiday season, join us for A Blue Xmas, an evening of soulful sounds, warm grooves, and alternative holiday spirit at the Epiphany Center for the Arts. Featuring two Chicago-based acts, Manasseh and White Lucy, the night will pair original alternative R&B, psychedelic soul, and indie sounds with fresh takes on beloved holiday classics. Expect a little nostalgia, a little melancholy, and plenty of groove as these artists put their own spin on the holiday season.
Manasseh is a Chicago South Side-born vocalist, songwriter, arranger, and creative director whose music draws from gospel, R&B, jazz, and psychedelic soul. Known for his expressive vocals and thoughtful songwriting, he has collaborated and toured with artists including Grammy-nominated trumpeter Marquis Hill, with music featured on BET's Sistas.
White Lucy is the Chicago-based alternative R&B and indie soul duo of Chase Carson and Micah Boyce. Blending lush instrumentation, hypnotic rhythms, and psychedelic textures, the pair create an expansive sound that moves between contemporary R&B, indie rock, and experimental soul. Their latest album, The Paradise, brings together a vibrant community of Chicago musicians and collaborators.
