About:

Round two of a quarterly residency with Chicago artist and performer D. Jean Baptiste.

This spring, D. Jean-Baptiste brings together three pairs of artists. 

Glen Bias -– The pairing of Bone Study and Lavotsky of Rent Control Records, among other endeavors, 

Allen Moore and Nick Meryhew -– longstanding fervent and frequent collaborators within Chicago’s experimental scene, and

Dragonfruit -– Shravan Raghuram and Jean-Baptiste themself.

Each duo is made up of two incredibly talented, versatile, thoughtful, obsessive musicians. The performers within these pairs have created rats nests of their practices, collecting frequencies, drolleries, and histories, pouring it restlessly back into their various communities with earnest excitement. 

This show deals with the ability to trust another human being with your life, your art, and your time.

Jean-Baptiste will curate two more shows during spring, summer, and fall of 2026, collaborating with a large cohort of creatives from across the city to turn the Catacombs into an immersive, multimedia exploration of science, emotion, and human behavior.
