About:

Danny G Felix is an Australian-born pianist, trumpeter, and composer/producer whose work spans Jazz, Latin, RnB, and Avant Garde. With energy, creativity and commitment, he’s been a fixture on the Sydney music scene for over a decade. He founded and led three iconic live music residencies – The Monday Jam, Jazz HipHop Freestyle Sessions, and Wednesdays Jazz at Kalyx.

Danny’s musical journey has taken him to Cali, Colombia where he’s made significant contributions with his salsa orchestra Malo Malo and his role in the legendary group Orquesta Calibre. He is now making inroads in the Chicago music scene, where he currently resides and is leading his weekly Monday Jam sessions at Le Piano. He has performed with artists such as Gregory Porter, Sampa the Great, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Mayito Rivera, Aloe Blacc, Tirso Duarte, Ngaiire, and Mike Nock.  He founded the renowned salsa band Malo Malo, which performs in Australia and Colombia.
