About:

Blues fans worldwide know Johnny as a tireless road warrior, performing 200 nights a year worldwide. Johnny grew up in Starkville, Mississippi and went to University of Chicago at 18, but ended up attending "blues university" in Chicago's blues clubs for the following two decades. Since the early 90's Johnny has toured and recorded with blues legends such as Pinetop Perkins, Sam Lay, Tail Dragger and Billy Boy Arnold. Johnny's a 23 BMA Nominee for Best Traditional Blues Artist and he was nominated for a BMA for Best Traditional Blues CD of 2017 for Howlin' at Greaseland, a Howlin' Wolf tribute.  His most recent release, "Ramblin From Coast to Coast", was the 6th most played blues release of '24 on The Big Blues Chart and was nominated by Blues Blast Magazine for the Best Traditional Blues Album.

Swedish Slide Guitar Queen Marie Martens is a veteran of her native Stockholm blues scene.  She came to the States in '06 and self-released her debut, "Travelled" in 2019.  In the last few years, she's toured all over the US with Johnny on bass and guitar.   Blues fans love her tone control-- there's not a wasted note when she puts down the bass and lets loose on the slide guitar.  Midwest Record
