Hörtechna is a new event series and artist collective in Chicago focused on showcasing Techno music, building a supportive community, uplifting emerging talent, and reinvigorating the dancefloor. Our high-energy, rhythmic Raw/Hardgroove Techno speaks to the soul and innervates the body. We gather inspiration from old-school to new; from our Detroit forebearers to those who are pushing musical boundaries.

NOTE: We seek to maintain a safe space for all who enter and we stand for mutual respect. Consent is a rule, not a suggestion. In order to keep the VIBES high and the MUSIC in focus, please limit phone and device usage to the areas away from the dancefloor.

Artist Bios

DJ Blix

Born and raised in Chicagoland, DJ BLIX (Griffin Tome) spins minimal, raw techno with an emphasis on layering and deep bass. His tight, clinical mixing style allows tracks to speak while delicately juggling multiple decks at once. DJ BLIX constructs his sets like a movie — rising, falling, and shifting in energy, each moment flowing naturally while staying under tight, deliberate control.

quade

quade wants one thing from the dancefloor: pandemonium. Through his time spiraling on dance floors -- to now spiraling on the decks, quade invites you to run through the jungle with him. With fast basslines, intense kicks, and subtle grooves, he rejects stillness, and encourages flailing.

Hören

A performer and music educator, Hören brings a wealth of musical diversity and knowledge to his showmanship on the decks. Drawing from many musical references, Hören delivers an exciting and curated journey to his audiences. His sonic style has been developed with an undercurrent of electrifying rhythms, vocals, and cultural flavors with a primary focus on movement and groove.
