About Lake Effect

Lake Effect Records invites you to celebrate a night of friendship, community and dance.
We’re building a soundsystem! Many of you have attended our open air free parties, and we’ve been graciously using our friend Dee’s speakers. We’re now starting the process of fabricating our own, compact, high fidelity sound system for use in parks and smaller venues! March 29th we’re gathering to enjoy a stellar lineup of residents who are all integral components to our parties, and masterful behind the 1’s and 2’s. We’re using all funds received from the night to aid us in the process of building this system. With this system, we aim to bring you far more free parties and fundraisers with higher fidelity sound! Anything helps, but most importantly come dance with us on the 29th! 

Otherself  [Live]

Eddy [Otherself]: lake effect’s psy-bandit has been hoarding, and refining hours of the boomiest, squiggliest grooves this side of the Mississippi. Saturday he will be hauling his echo realm resonator and interdimensional transmission receiver into the Sanctuary, and transporting us to an’Other’ dimension.

DJ Scari x Swesdo x Rimjickles [mandatory rim check] 

High velocity cowgirl DJ Scari and party rocking Swesdo team up with swag surfer: RimJickles. A riptide will be hurling through the sanctuary as the trio take us through a sonic experiment ready to ignite the dancefloor. 

2tipz

Megan AKA “2tipz” is a chicago based DJ. Cutting her teeth in the Chicago and Denver bass scene, Megan’s sharpened her skills behind the decks and is sure to bring us formidable grooves. Megan's had quite the impact on the team from teaching Relativity Lounge how to spin, providing a space for so many to enjoy music over the years, insane baking skills, and creating an array of insane visual art. Megan has proven to be an asset to not only the Lake Effect community, but anywhere she graces with her presence.

Daynables 

Helping kick off Lake Effect’s first parties, booking residents to play their first shows before Lake Effect Records inception, Dayna will be kicking us off this evening. A music aficionado, a “DJ’s DJ”, and now budding producer, Dayna’s going to lay the rock solid foundation for an evening of dance and reverie. 

Golden Hour at Epiphany:

Stop by Epiphany for our live music series concerts, and be sure to hit Golden Hour before-hand for drinks and lite-bites! Doors open at 5pm Thursday - Saturday for Golden Hour with 1/2 priced bottles of wine and other specials!
