About Manasseh:

Manasseh is a Chicago South Side-born vocalist, songwriter, arranger, and creative director whose work bridges soul, R&B, jazz, and cinematic soundscapes. Raised in the church and influenced early on by his mother—a gifted vocalist—his musical foundation was shaped through years of choir singing, which continues to inform his emotive, technically precise vocal approach.

Currently working as a vocal/session coach, background vocalist, songwriter, and music supervisor, Manasseh is widely regarded as a trusted collaborator and “go-to” creative for artists across genres. His work has appeared in major cultural spaces and media outlets, including the Chicago Tribune, EarMilk, and Ambient Vibez. His song “Inches” was featured on Tyler Perry’s BET hit series Sistas (Season 2, Episode 4).

In addition to his work as a recording and performing artist, Manasseh served as Music Supervisor for the short film Take 290, further expanding his footprint in visual media and narrative-driven sound design.

Manasseh has toured and collaborated with Grammy-nominated jazz trumpeter Marquis Hill, contributed vocals to Composers Collective: Beyond the Jukebox, and joined international pop star JoJo on her Too Much To Say Tour and at the Taste of Chicago. He has also served as music supervisor for the short film Take 290, created original programming for Malcolm X College, and regularly headlines shows and high-end corporate events nationwide.

His debut album Monochromatic Dream was released in 2022, followed by EPs including Variations V1 – I’ll Be. His forthcoming album, R&B[eyond], arrives Spring 2026 and is already earning early praise, signaling a bold next chapter in his evolving artistic vision.

Check out his new album, R&B[eyond], dropping on his birthday, 8/25!
