It’s among the hottest tickets in town: the “Art of Banksy” exhibit heading to Chicago. And now we know when and where it will take place. The exhibit will be staged at the Epiphany Center for the Arts, 201 S. Ashland Ave., with a new opening date of Aug. 7 (rescheduled from July 1).
Developer David Chase and his wife, Kimberly Rachal, converted the former church and adjacent property into a $15 million venue to host live music, art exhibits, weddings, galas and private events.
This year's tree-lighting ceremony won't draw a crowd due to coronavirus precautions, but city officials will celebrate with a virtual holiday program broadcast on YouTube at 6:30 p.m. on November 19. The online ceremony is set to include holiday greeting from Mayor Lightfoot and First Lady Amy Eshleman, special acknowledgements of Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, and music performances recorded at the Epiphany Center for the Arts
