After the Afters is a platform for the Asian community that spotlights artists, DJs, creators, and businesses. The events they host range from small intimate coffee shop popups to large parties in unexpected locations.

About Edwin Mui:

Edwin Mui is a Chicago-based DJ with a passion for groove-driven dance music. His sets blend disco, house, and soulful edits with modern club sounds, creating an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and fun. Known for reading the room and building energy naturally, Edwin focuses on music that brings people together—whether it’s a packed dance floor or a late-night cocktail crowd.

About JAYĀURĀ:

J.R. (JAYĀURĀ) is a Chicago-based DJ blending precision with pulse. Influenced by the music-filled energy of Filipino family gatherings, he was inspired early by how sound creates lasting memories. By day, a quality and operations specialist in tech; by night, he curates high-energy, genre-blending sets that mix nostalgia with infectious rhythms, delivering intentional, connective dance floors that linger long after the last drop.

About DREAMÈNG:

DREAMÈNG, the musical project of Mengjie, blends melodic bass, house, and techno into his genre-fluid, emotionally driven sets. A lifelong music lover who recently started DJing, he’s always on the hunt for fresh new hits and hidden gems to share with every crowd.

About Jorbs:

A Wisconsin-based DJ specializing in House and Open Format music, he has been building his presence in the industry since 2023, playing everything from college formals to New Year's at Soundbar Chicago. With a residency in Milwaukee and sets at events like the 2025 Mustache Crawl in Chicago, he has steadily grown his sound and reputation across the Midwest. By day an engineer, his true passion lies behind the decks, where he continues to sharpen his craft and expand his reach. He now works closely with After the Afters, using the platform to connect with new audiences and push his career closer to the full-time dream.
