About: 

Shami Sosa is a multimedia artist and television producer based in Chicago, IL whose work spans multiple decades and disciplines.  As a first-generation Pakistani-American, Shami's work is influenced by genres ranging from classical South Asian to hip-hop, to indie-rock and electronic music. He employs a wide range of instruments -- samplers, grooveboxes, theremins and synths -- which all culminate in a flamboyant yet enigmatic musical style, and marketing technique that continues to defy convention and has helped differentiate himself from other producers and artists.  As a television producer, Shami has travelled extensively on behalf of major networks to create pieces that showcase local arts, culture, economy, and the human condition. He is also the principal of Emerald Resources, a transmedia storytelling agency that consults with public figures, businesses, and brands of various scales, both domestically and internationally.
