La Fête du Funk returns to Epiphany Center for the Arts on Saturday, October 17 for ANNIVERSARY PARTY. That’s right – we’re bringing the house party that started it all out 7 years ago into the church of disco for all you good folks to enjoy.

For this anniversary edition, get ready for deep dirty cuts, big hooks, extended grooves, and a few left turns. Expect Donna Summer cuddled up with the Rolling Stones. CHIC rolled up into Talking Heads. Zeppelin colliding with ABBA. Glam, speed, and sweat held together by a band of some of Chicago's finest musicians who understand that the best dance music has always had a little rock 'n' roll in it – and the best rock music has always made people move.

If this is the first time you’re dipping your twinkle toes in the technicolor wave pool with us, prepare to turn on, tune in, and get down. Wear sequins, leather, vintage polyester, or whatever makes you feel like the Mick Jagger version of yourself. We’ll take care of the rest.

And when the show is over, don’t you worry your pretty little heads about it because we don’t have to go home just yet. Our friend, and soon to be yours, Chicago’s own Mitch Please takes over for the official afterparty and will deliver the funk-house-disco DJ set of your dance hall dreams.

La Fete Bio:

In 2019, seven friends got together to play what they thought would be a one-off show. But following that show, a now infamous and legendary fete that lasted for three days, one thing was clear - this was not just a show. This was a party from a bygone era, the mythologized decade of the gritty, sleazy, synthy 1970s. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is La Fete du Funk.
