About:

Omari Jahi is a multifaceted Chicago-based entertainment professional with over four decades of experience. A trained musician, producer, and DJ, Omari began his journey as the musical director for T.O.M.A. Records smooth Jazz & R&B recording artist The Sax Preacher in 1982. Today, he has his own media production company Apex Visual, and he is the hosts the podcast The Daily Mix with Omari Jahi on social media platforms. He brings extensive expertise in graphic design, sound engineering, videography, Photography, and broadcasting to every creative endeavor.

In 2024: Dion Walton is a 73-year-young performing artist, working singer, actor and artist with artwork in galleries throughout Chicagoland. Dion is a 20-year veteran of Second Story as writer, reader, and director and 30-year veteran of the Goodman Theater’s “Generations” program. He worked for two years at the Center on Halsted to inspire some of Chicago’s gay homeless youth of color by creating and directing the Queer Cabaret program. In 2015, he was cast in the play, All the Sex I Ever Had at the Museum of Contemporary Arts and directed the playhouse Musical (Coming of Age), in 2023, in Chicago. He is currently working on his autobiography, entitled The Happening, reflecting on more than 50 years as a national performer and 30 years as a writer.
