About:
Sessions With Tandaleria started 10 years ago as a way for me to showcase myself as a songwriter. I wanted a space where I could share my original music, tell the stories behind the songs, and show the full extent of who I was as an artist.
Somewhere along the way, it became bigger than me.
Sessions With Tandaleria grew into another stage for independent artists to show the full extent of their talent, share their original music, collaborate, and give audiences an opportunity to experience artists they may not have discovered otherwise.
For 10 years, original music and captivating experience have been what we've brought to Chicago's music scene. We've watched artists grow, songs evolve, collaborations form, and audiences become part of the community we've built around the music.
Orchestra with Soul celebrates that journey by doing what Sessions With Tandaleria has always done—taking the music one step further. This time, we're reimagining R&B, soul, and original music with a live orchestra while celebrating artists who have been part of our story along the way.
The evening features performances by Jeneé Jones, Liz Toussaint, Sam Thousand, Erthe Saint James, Alysha Monique, Cheri Soul, and Elisa Latrice, along with special guest performances throughout the evening. Hosted by Shartia Jones, with sounds by DJ P1 and DJ Kwiet Storm.
This 10-year celebration also benefits the DOS Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting artists and creatives through education, mentorship, artist development, and opportunities for continued growth.
Ten years later, we're still doing what we started out doing: creating a stage for original music, incredible artists, and experiences worth remembering.
