RAIN OR SHINE!
About Smiley Tillmon Band:
One of the busiest blues outfits in Chicagoland, the Smiley Tillmon Band is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. There’s an obvious reason why the veteran guitarist’s booking schedule is so jam-packed: Smiley knows how to have a good time and makes sure his audience does too. After 55 years on the local blues scene, Tillmon serves up the blues and soul standards that people never seem to stop craving, his rich vocals and fluid guitar backed by a band that keeps his grooves tight and right.
Born Moses Tillmon in rural Jefferson County, Georgia, Smiley grew up on a hearty musical diet of gospel, country, and a little blues. His mother moved to Fort Lauderdale when he was ten; there he was exposed to calypso music, adding up to a singular list of influences. Tillmon took up guitar and was good enough by the dawn of the ‘60s to back Miami R&B singer Billy Miranda in the studio. He joined Sammy Ambrose & the Afro-Beats, a calypso-oriented band, touring from Canada to New York. Smiley bid the Afro-Beats adieu in 1962 and moved to Chicago. There he established himself on the blues circuit, playing with Billy “The Kid” Emerson, Denise LaSalle, and other South Side luminaries until he opted for a day job in 1977.
Upon his 2007 retirement, Smiley reverted to full-time musical status. He joined forces with bassist Tom Rezetko, and they’ve been inseparable onstage ever since. Kate Moss shares guitar duties with Tillmon; married to another blues guitar standout, Nick Moss, Kate’s sound is heavily influenced by Freddie King and Magic Sam (she fell in love with the blues at age 21 when she met Buddy Guy, and she’s shared stages with Buddy, Jimmy Johnson, Eddie Shaw, and Lurrie Bell, to name just a few). Drummer George Baumann completes one of the Windy City’s toughest blues combos, one that’ll keep you smiling from ear to ear. - Bill Dahl

About Lizzy & the Triggermen:
LA-based big band, Lizzy & the Triggermen, transport you back to the glamour of the Prohibition Era, but with a sound and swagger that is thrillingly new. As NPR raves, they are “one part Eartha Kitt, one part Ella Fitzgerald, on part Amy Winehouse.”
Their show is a “joyously subversive” (Broadway World) mixture of vintage swing and biting originals that highlight Lizzy's wicked sense of humor (which she previously used to create Emmy-nominated TV shows). Like the great tunes of the '30s which so inspire them, their music boldly tackles our modern troubles and turns them into killer dance songs that fill you with joy the way only a wailing horn section can.
Their debut album, "Good Songs for Bad Times," hit #3 on the iTunes Jazz Charts alongside jazz royalty Miles Davis and Kamasi Washington. They quickly went from performing in speakeasies to selling out top venues and jazz festivals across the country, co-headlining festivals with Samara Joy and Nancy Sinatra, touring with Squeeze and being chosen for SXSW.
The band is helmed by operatically-trained Lizzy with arrangements by living legend, Dan Barrett (who played with and arranged for Benny Goodman). But the star power emanates through the entire incredible band: a multi-generational dream team of crushers who have toured with everyone from Woody Herman to Harry Connick Jr. to Rachel and Vilray to Panic! at the Disco.
The show will also feature a pre-show swing dance lesson taught by popular local dance school, Traffic Jam Swing.

About:
Forget ordinary tributes! Dorothy Roberson, aka Chicago's Tina Turner, explodes onto the stage with a high-octane show that'll have you dancing in your seat (or maybe even on it!). This 68-year-old Tina Turner maverick isn't here to imitate – she's here to ignite. Prepare to be swept away by her powerhouse vocals that fill the room and a stage presence that crackles with charisma. Every show is an interactive journey, with Dorothy leading the charge. She belts out classic hits such as "The Best", "River Deep Mountain High","Private Dancer", "We don’t need another Hero", and "Nutbush City Limits", just to name a few. Sing along! Dance along! "Proud Mary"! This is more than a concert; it's an experience you won't forget!
COULD THE ENERGETIC, VIVACIOUS, BEAUTIFUL AND TALENTED DOROTHY ROBERSON BE THE ONE TO KEEP TINA TURNER LEGACY ALIVE?
Dorothy Roberson is a well respected Live Chicago’s Tina Turner Tribute Artist. Dorothy Roberson is considered The Tina Turner Maverick with her amplified vocals that fills a room large or small that stems from her singing in a gospel church choir of 40 years! Some have said that she sounds as though she has a built in microphone because of her booming voice!
Dorothy now 68, has the energy of a 25 year old, when it comes to performing the music of the late Tina Turner. Dorothy is a well respected and highly praised live Tina Turner tribute artist who started off experimenting with the music of Tina Turner in front of iconic Chicago landmark buildings such as the Corner of Macys on State St., Chicago Theater, and outside the Wrigley Building. Dorothy was desperate and determined to find a musical way to make ends meet to support herself after similar parallel marriage situation as the Late Tina Turner. After an emotional divorce that left her financially crippled at age of 53 she put her strong gospel singing voice into action. Dorothy could be found every summer perfecting her Tina Turner Craft hoping that she could be potentially booked on a real stage platform. After six years of Tina Turner Street performing her resilience and determination finally paid off when she appeared on major Chicago newspapers, magazine covers, numerous radio interviews and appearances on the news. The exposure she received through the media led to the rise of what we know now as Chicago’s Tina Turner!

About:
Brother Jacob is a proud Chicago native, blues artist, radio host, and cultural preservationist whose performances blend the soul of gospel with the electric grit of Chicago blues. Born and raised on the city’s South Side, he fell in love with the blues as a child listening to WVON-AM’s Pervis Spann “The Blues Man” in the midnight hours. That deep musical foundation sparked a lifelong calling that would evolve into a unique voice on stage, over the airwaves, and in the city’s cultural conversations.
He began his professional journey through the Blues in the Schools program, performing at the Chicago Blues Festival under the mentorship of Deitra Farr. Over the years, Brother Jacob has become a familiar face on the scene, not just as a guest vocalist or sit-in performer, but as a frontman building a body of work with his own band and his own voice.
His music carries a spiritual intensity, rooted in storytelling and tradition, and driven by a mission to connect, uplift, and preserve. Brother Jacob delivers blues with reverence and revival.
Come down and celebrate Brother Jacob's birthday with an intimate set with "C.G." on keyboards!

About:
LBJ: The Music & The Moment — 10th Anniversary Acoustic Celebration
Live at Epiphany Center for the Arts, Chicago, IL
Join acclaimed guitarist, composer, and bandleader LBJ (Larry Brown Jr.) for an unforgettable evening honoring the 10th anniversary of his celebrated sophomore release, The Music & The Moment. This one-night-only event features a stripped-down, acoustic reimagining of the original album—performed live in the intimate, acoustically rich setting of the Epiphany Center for the Arts in Chicago. Originally hailed by All About Jazz as “emotionally charged and stylistically expansive,” The Music & The Moment captured the soul of a musician deeply rooted in gospel, jazz, and blues traditions, yet unafraid to explore new musical terrain. Ten years later, LBJ returns to this defining work with fresh perspective, heart, and raw musicianship, inviting the audience to experience the music in its most vulnerable and soulful form. Expect inspired reinterpretations, stories behind the songs, and the kind of deep musical connection only a live, intimate acoustic set can provide

About:
Genesis of cincOH:
"OH" in Korean has a few meanings: a popular family name (my family name), the number five, among other things. Hence "cinco + OH" to signifies five decades I lived on this planet, my five organizing principles (Care, Community, Compassion, Dedication, & Integration), the five most important aspects of Tango to me (Music/Musicality, Ambience/Vibe in the room, Connection: both physical & emotional, Care/Respect for my partners & the ronda, and Finding Joy in every tanda), and finally the very first cincOH (2023) was the fifth large scale tango event I organized (*cincOH 4th edition will be my 9th event overall).
My vision for cincOH going forward:
cincOH is a semiannual traveling event only by invitation (by recommendations from you as well as my personal connections) which will be capped at 180-250 people (role balanced including/emphasis on switch dancers). The event typically includes some type of non-dancing elements whether it be community forum, lectures, and/or group activity. It also often include philanthropy/fundraising aspect for selected causes. In a nutshell, the goal is to create a meaningful and fun events in which attendees fell safe and cared for.
This edition will be a collaboration with La Maravilla Milonga of Chicago (Hosts: Khoi & Rachel). With our shared principles, we strive to create a meaningful gathering that is thoughtful, relaxed and safe for all attending.

RAIN OR SHINE!
About:
Boyce is an emerging male jazz vocalist whose unique sound seamlessly blends the emotive power of gospel with the smooth sophistication of jazz and the groove of neo-soul. With a voice that captivates listeners from the first note, Boyce brings a fresh, yet timeless approach to the world of jazz.
His musical journey began in the church, where he honed his vocal technique and developed a deep connection to the emotional depth of gospel music. Influenced by greats like Donny Hathaway, Sarah Vaughn, and Luther Vandross, his style evokes both the spirit of traditional jazz and the soulful resonance of contemporary sounds.
His smooth vocal phrasing and rich tone offer an engaging experience, blending heartfelt lyricism with rhythmic intensity that can both soothe and stir the soul. Whether he's performing intimate jazz standards or infusing his own compositions with personal depth, Boyce brings a rare artistry to the stage.
With an ever-growing fan base and a larger than life presence that commands attention, Boyce is quickly becoming a voice to watch in the jazz world. His upcoming projects promise to explore new territories in sound while paying homage to the rich traditions of jazz, soul, and gospel, making him an exciting force in the contemporary music scene.

About Ine'a J:
Ine’a J, also known as The Pen Fairy, singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Chicago’s very own rising gem has been shining in the music scene with her sultry voice, illustrious pen game, and radiating music.
Debuting her first single “4EVA” in December of 2021, Ine’a is well on her way as her projects have already received press from Lyrical Lemonade, The Chicago Reader, Vocalo Radio, Real Ones, The Ghetto Flower, & more. “Planet J” her preeminent 6 track EP, released in 2022, created such a captivating era for the artist and her supporters performing around Chicago and leading into heavily anticipated future releases. Her second studio project "The Colors" EP of 2023, has left such an impact as she embodies true craftsmanship. The artist connects emotions and colors, leaving us to relate through a musical body of art. This led to her first headliner at Reggie's Chicago and stamping her mark with The Chicago Reader. In 2025 the artist follows Planet J with a coinciding space themed yet soulful project titled “4”, continuing her supporters on her musical journey followed by her second headliner at Epiphany Center for the Arts. Singles such as “Wait 4 U”, “Promises”, &“10/10” (mastered by Grammy award winning & 32 nominee James Auwarter), paved the artist into a new era of pop-R&B.
Not only is she musically talented, but Ine’a is well rounded as an educated scholar holding an MBA and BSBA from Loyola University Chicago and the University of Missouri at Columbia. Ine’a J is also a businesswoman with her brand “The Repertoire” on ineaj.com encapsulating all of her creative talents including fashion, music, modeling, as well as e-commerce retailing. The Repertoire has received press from Vox Magazine, Who We Are Now Project 2020, and The Christian Science Monitor. Her brand promotes “Embrace the uncomfortable & Walk with purpose” as something we should all be reminded by.
Follow her along her music journey directly on instagram @ineajofficial to enjoy a little fairy dust everywhere she goes.

If you were around during Chicago’s underground House Music movement or Rave scene in the late 80’s and early 90’s, then you’ll be utterly familiar with the name Julio Bishop. Whether from appearing weekly on some of the hottest party flyers throughout the Midwest or because you had a copy of his now infamous mix tape, “Love Nation” sold out of all the local record stores, the name Julio Bishop is synonymous with jacking dance floors since 1987.
Getting his start as a dancer and DJ in Chicago’s nightclubs and warehouses, but soon expanding his influence; from NYC to LA, to the beaches of Miami, Puerto Rico and Mexico, Germany and Sicily, Julio has been bringing his deep, mystifying grooves to the world for over 3 decades. His intimate knowledge of classic Afro-Latin and Jazz, , as well as his acquired proficiency of Disco, Electronica, Club & Deep House takes his sets far outside the realm of what is attainable by a greener selection of DJ’s.
Funneling his talents into the studio in the early 2000’s, Julio helped launch RealDEEP Recordings, along side label partner Brian Cullen (aka Bjak) where, together they paved the way to further coproductions and solo projects on labels such as Deep Explorer Music (Madrid) and Eargasmic Recordings (Chicago).
With more releases on the way and a selection of upcoming gigs scheduled between Chicago. Puerto Rico, LA & Hawaii, you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for what’s to come next from this proved House Music veteran.

About Y Not:
The music of Y-Not is designed to validate authentic human experiences through empowering lyrics and diverse soundscapes. Based in Grand Rapids, MI, the 6-piece band interweaves elements of alternative rock, jam, funk, and ambient soul with its central theme - a heartfelt and daring quest for interpersonal truth and change. Influences from Dave Matthews Band, Lauryn Hill, Trevor Hall, The Grateful Dead, John Mayer, and Ripe are constantly evolving in their impact on Y-Not’s music and its expression.
Their first full album “All of You” was nominated for the Best Local Album of 2020 in the Chicago Reader. The band has played at South by Southwest Music Festival at the AEMMP Records Hip Hop showcase, “A Little Taste of the Chi.” In its first year (2015) the group won first prize at the Pride North talent contest, and since then has played classic Chicago stages such as Schubas, Subterranean, Beat Kitchen, Martyrs, etc; as well as local music festivals such as Glenwood Arts and Southport Arts; and hosted a monthly residency at the legendary Heartland Cafe in Rogers Park during the venue’s last year of operation in 2018. They have opened for notable artists such as Mike Love, Dustin Thomas, and Tasha. The band has also hosted "Soul Rebels: Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Bob Marley" in Chicago for the last seven years, including the last three years at Epiphany Center for the Arts, where they are proud to have an artistic residency.

☀︎ Michael Navarro | International. Irresistible. Irrefutably Danceable. Eclipse 2.0 needed a DJ to raise the temperature and lower the inhibitions, Michael Navarro was the name on all our lips (and in our DMs). Known for his genre-defining, floor-filling sets that leave no booty behind, Michael brings unmatched energy and a signature sound that blurs borders, bends genres, and demands movement.
☽ Virago | She requires no introduction. If you've stepped foot onto Halsted St. then you've heard her spinning bops and throwing ass. Seamlessly blending Chicago house & deep tech, the dance floor flows with electrifying energy that's almost tangible. She creates sets that don’t just move your body—they make space for every identity to shine. Her ability to unite a crowd through sound is magnetic, unforgettable, and just about as rare as an eclipse.

About Fernando Jones:
If one word could describe this Chicago Blues Hall of Famer and Keeping the Blues Alive Award winning "creative" named Fernando Jones it would be rare. This multi-instrumentalist started off by playing the Blues on the guitar when he was just four years old. Today, he's still going strong as a bandleader. This world-class, internationally known American Bluesman, educator and songwriter was born to loving Mississippi parents on the Southside of Chicago. Jones is one of a few living African American Bluesmen to have a tribute album of his compositions done by a band on a different continent; Jona's Blues Band of Rome, Italy is the group.
Jones has performed his compositions from basement parties to the University of Hawaii to The Smithsonian Institute to the Conservatory of Music in Pescara, Italy to nightclubs in Havana, Cuba. Here is a sample of his scholarly writing in the Journal of Popular Music Studies and awards. In January 2020, the National Association of Music Merchants invited him to host a lecture on the impact of Blues Pedagogy. As a lecturer Fernando Jones has established Blues Camps for youths on the continents of Asia, Europe, North America and the Caribbean island of Cuba. Here's an interview on him done by The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library.
As evident of his work(s) demonstrate; here’s why Fernando Jones, a Keeping the Blues Alive Award recipient and Chicago Blues Hall of Fame member is worth investing in as a performer, lecturer and/or an artist-in-residence. Fernando Jones is original in his approach to music with a focus on the Blues and the performing arts.

About:
Indigo X Family Junket will be an evening of musical exploration and storytelling. We invite You to join us for two sets of original compositions and arrangements all rooted in soul music and storytelling. This show is an extension of Indigo Sessions, a show series meant to celebrate and nurture the artistry of Black Women and Queer artists. Indigo is excited to watch the series evolve with each new space it exists within.
Indigo is a vocalist, composer, and curator from the southside of Chicago. Rooted in the traditions of Black Music and the deep study of Black Aesthetics, her art moves with purpose—telling stories that seek truth and connection. Indigo is the founder and host of Indigo Sessions, a show series meant to highlight the creations of Black Women and Black Queer creatives. Indigo Sessions was born from her personal longing—for safety, for kinship, for a place where We could show up fully, without apology. It has found home in beloved spaces like Dorothy and The.BlkRoom, continuing to grow as a living archive of community, artistry, and liberation.
Family Junket is the collective voice of Chicago-based musicians Clarence Young, Rahila Coats, Scott Daniel, Hasani Cannon, Carmani Edwards, Indigo, Tromblau, and brothers Zach, Jonah, and Max Lazarus. They are social workers, teachers, farmers, dancers, writers, painters, photographers, and performance artists coming together to create healing spaces, community, and parties. As a band, they play lush, unpredictable compositions featuring horns, strings, percussion, vocal interplay, and an improvisational spirit.

About Chicago Immigrant Orchestra:
The Chicago Immigrant Orchestra, originally founded in 1999 by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, emerged as a vibrant expression of the city's rich musical diversity until the end of its initial run in 2004. Helmed at the time by Willy Schwartz, the orchestra brought together musicians from Chicago's immigrant communities, showcasing a global array of musical traditions. Though its initial run ended after 5 years, its influence lingered, leaving an indelible mark on the local music scene.
In 2019, a new chapter unfolded when the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events enlisted guitarist Fareed Haque and oud player Wanees Zarour to revive the orchestra for the 2020 Chicago World Music Festival. Despite the challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic, the orchestra persevered, delivering a lauded virtual concert in September 2020.
Today, the rejuvenated Chicago Immigrant Orchestra comprises a 20-piece ensemble drawn from Chicago's immigrant communities, representing an eclectic mix of musical heritages from across the globe. Under the artistic direction of Haque and Zarour, musicians hailing from the Far East to Western Europe, Africa, and the Americas collaboratively shape the orchestra's musical narrative.
Embracing a fresh perspective, the New Chicago Immigrant Orchestra delves into the interplay between diverse musical traditions, weaving a rich tapestry that celebrates both their shared connections and distinctive differences.

About Jade Maze:
Jade Maze mixes soul, jazz, and pop into one big heart-filled voice. From the first note, you know she is singing about lived experiences. Whether sharing a H.E.R. cover, a jazz standard, or an original song, her delivery is profound and unique. She started out with soul and jazz bands on the West Coast, toured with her original band on the East Coast, and made Chicago her home in the mid-90s, where she split duties between her own band and singing with jazz/blues/contemporary ensembles. She loves the intimacy of duo work as well, especially with guitar, bass, or piano.
Jade also happens to be an award-winning author. Her debut memoir, Walk Until Sunrise, took a first-place world literary prize (Rome), and the follow-up memoir entitled Mercy’s View: Blackout won a 2025 Best Book Pinnacle Achievement Award. The memoirs chronicle her teenage runaway experience, her reentry into society, and her singing career. To offset the intensity of that work, Jade writes short stories where at least one of the story characters is a singer (Music Notes: Tales from an American Singer). They are hilarious!
So come hear some songs, read a book, have a refreshing beverage, and enjoy!
About Buddy Fambro:
Buddy Fambro is a Chicago-based guitarist, producer, composer, and educator. With three solo albums to his credit, he can also be found frequently on the theater circuit. Notable past performances include PBS’s Great Performances “Chicago Voices Gala” (Lyric Opera House of Chicago), Motown: The Musical (Ford Oriental Theatre), and the international tour of Come Fly Away. Buddy has performed with Gerald Albright, Ramsey Lewis, Mavis Staples, and the Urban Knights, to name a few. Influences include Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny, and Larry Carlton.

About:
Join us for Devil’s in the Details, Chicago’s inaugural two-day robot and animation dance festival. Featuring live music, art, dance workshops, technology demonstrations, a showcase competition, and a head-to-head dance battle with a unique twist, Devil’s in the Details reimagines how robot and animation dance is presented through a fresh multidisciplinary approach.
Highlights:
● 1v1 Robot & Animation Dance Battle: Battles are head-to-head competitions where dancers freestyle to random music by a live DJ. Devil’s in the Details combines this with a unique twist where the Top 16 dancers will freestyle to specific concepts that demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and creative exploration of robot and animation dance.
● Busking-Inspired Showcase Competition: Robot and animation dance are rooted in busking, also known as street performance. Devil’s in the Details reimagines this tradition in an invitational showcase style competition. Spectators will be invited to participate by voting for their favorite performance through a ticket-in-the-hat system.
● Dance Workshops and Tech Demos: The pioneers of robot and animation dance created these styles by emulating the technology of their time. Devil’s in the Details blends dance education with technological insight in workshops and tech demos designed to show dancers how to explore and generate their own movement inspired by first hand reference material, rather than merely emulating the movement of other dancers.
Devil’s in the Details will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025 in The Sanctuary at Epiphany Center for the Arts. Doors open at 2 PM, prelims for the 1v1 battle will begin at 3 PM, and the main event will begin at 5 PM.

About:
Luciano's performance takes the audience on a tour of Brazil by presenting a wide variety of Brazilian compositions combined with his own originals. In his Performance Luciano contrasts songs that have rich and complex harmonies and melodies with simple rhythms against songs that have simple harmonies and melodies with very complex rhythms, and the dynamics range from pure solo guitar and voice to the full sound of the rich Brazilian percussion in a fascinating musical way. Luciano released three albums, two of which are original music "Vida De Artista - An Artist's Life" in 2011 and “Sem Palavras – Without Words” in 2015. His 3rd Album is a 'Live Concert" at the prestigious Jazz Showcase. Make no mistake; Luciano has placed his stamp on the Brazilian music scene in Chicago.
