About OTNES:
Originally from the small city of Champaign-Urbana, IL, OTNES (they/she) fell in love with music at an early age. After growing up learning flute, piano and voice, OTNES got their degree in creative writing at UIUC and moved to Chicago where they became a staple in the music scene under the name Emily Blue. There, they frequented venues like Lincoln Hall, The Metro, Schuba’s, & more.
Following lengthy self exploration, OTNES transitioned into the unknown, changing their moniker and becoming the producer they’d always wanted to be. OTNES songs became mini-movies, combining vintage electronic pop textures with live instruments & passionate vocals to create a uniquely dynamic sound.
OTNES is also a passionate director of music videos, both for themselves and others. Their visual world comes to life in the debut single ‘SPIN,’ co-directed by Mossflower Pictures, and combines OTNES’s love of color with surreal retro aesthetics.
In 2024 they performed in 7 countries, supporting Australian icon Donny Benét on his 30+ day tour around the globe. Their show boasts of mystery and intrigue, paired with the stage design of acclaimed stage designer Strangehandle.
Hear their dreamy debut album ‘SHOW THEM WHAT’S INSIDE!’ on all streaming platforms.

After BAYEM’s debut two-week performance residency at famed Indianapolis club LoFi Lounge sold out in April 2024, his presence as one of the most sought-after artists that the city has generated in recent years was solidified. To follow, BAYEM performed his anticipated Los Angeles live debut at the world-famous Peppermint Club in West Hollywood.
In autumn 2024, BAYEM released the dazzling new single “Malibu”, the first track from his upcoming TAPE 3 EPwhich releases on December 14, 2024. BAYEM will perform a special hometown EP release show on the same day.

About:
If you were around during Chicago’s underground House Music movement or Rave scene in the late 80’s and early 90’s, then you’ll be utterly familiar with the name Julio Bishop. Whether from appearing weekly on some of the hottest party flyers throughout the Midwest or because you had a copy of his now infamous mix tape, “Love Nation” sold out of all the local record stores, the name Julio Bishop is synonymous with jacking dance floors since 1987.
Getting his start as a dancer and DJ in Chicago’s nightclubs and warehouses, but soon expanding his influence; from NYC to LA, to the beaches of Miami, Puerto Rico and Mexico, Germany and Sicily, Julio has been bringing his deep, mystifying grooves to the world for over 3 decades. His intimate knowledge of classic Afro-Latin and Jazz, , as well as his acquired proficiency of Disco, Electronica, Club & Deep House takes his sets far outside the realm of what is attainable by a greener selection of DJ’s.
Funneling his talents into the studio in the early 2000’s, Julio helped launch RealDEEP Recordings, along side label partner Brian Cullen (aka Bjak) where, together they paved the way to further coproductions and solo projects on labels such as Deep Explorer Music (Madrid) and Eargasmic Recordings (Chicago).
With more releases on the way and a selection of upcoming gigs scheduled between Chicago. Puerto Rico, LA & Hawaii, you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for what’s to come next from this proved House Music veteran.

Event Details
Attend the opening reception for Louise Pappageorge’s FERAL LACES AND OFF THE WALL DOILIES on Friday, March 21, from 6:00-9:00pm.
The word ‘thread’ is often used to represent continuity - of an idea, a theme, a life. The simple repetitive action of interlocking threads and joining pieces to create something that is handed down among generations, chronicles the continuum of life. For Louise Pappageorge, her proclaimed “obsessive relationship” with the making of cloth and lace structures blossomed in her childhood through skills she learned from her grandmother and mother. Pappageorge states: “The drawing of threads connects me across shared generational labors to the greater multigenerational consciousness of womankind, whose structures have preserved humanity through the creation of magnificent cloths.”
In Feral Laces and Off the Wall Doilies, Pappageorge’s works of found and newly created lace and crochet structures initiate a visual rebellion, as she
investigates the realms of feminism through artistic exploration that dismantles preconceived boundaries while challenging the traditional demarcation between craft and fine art. In a gender-biased society, craft-based work often tied to women is dismissed as merely functional or decorative, while ‘fine art’ disproportionately celebrates creations by white male artists.
Combining lace, knitted, and crocheted materials with gleaming metal leaf and patinated finishes, Pappageorge’s artwork suggests fine sculptural works, as if created from cast metal. In their final form her sculpture departs from the ethereal and fragile nature of lace structures, delicately born from the hands of women throughout time. Instead, they become dynamic expressions of contradiction and embody the multifaceted nature of “women’s work” and artistic creation. With architecture as a backdrop, these fabrics break free from the constraints of tradition, turn feral and transcend conventional boundaries. Viewers are invited into an unfamiliar dimension where the intricacies of lace and crochet unfold, while straying from the stigma that often relegates utilitarian creations to the periphery. In this merger of materials, these undomesticated laces become seductive adorations of long held traditions and the labors of women over the millennia.

Event Details
Attend the opening reception for Mat’s Dahlberg’s SYMBIOSIS on Friday, March 21, from 6:00-9:00pm.
Through fantastical reimagining of scientific subjects, SYMBIOSIS examines what unites all living beings outside of strict hierarchies and binary definitions. For billions of years, life on earth has existed in a multiplicity of forms. Through both process and materials, Mats Dahlberg explores the interdependence of disparate organisms, the beauty and violence of nature and regeneration, and the lessons we can learn from it.
Contrary to the belief that Queer identities are a modern concept, humans have exhibited behaviors now attributed to queerness since ancient times. Nature, with its vast diversity, shows that restrictive definitions are based on fear, not truth. Queerness, Dahlberg states: “Is as deep as fungal mycelium networks, as powerful as the constant toil of tectonic movements, and as intricate as the dance of worker bees through the hive.”
Inspired by drag nightlife performance, Dahlberg uses bold colors, intricate designs, and avant-garde creations to defy fashion norms in their costume design. They blend fine art and traditional craft techniques, adorning doilies from their Great Grandmother with beads and rhinestones to honor those of marginalized genders who cultivated craft practices like embroidery and crochet. Their costume work challenges viewers to imagine life forms beyond the human self and explore the possibilities of the noncorporeal, trans body.

Event Details
Attend the opening reception for the group exhibit COME AS YOU ARE on Friday, March 21, from 6:00-9:00pm.
In a group exhibition focused on care, COME AS YOU ARE addresses how we care for ourselves and each other and asks: In what ways can the creative process be an act of healing for our communities and ourselves? What conversations can be created through collaborative making? Through this exhibition, artists utilize a diversity of fiber/textile media to illustrate their visions of collective care.
The participating artists originally connected through their intersecting community and artistic practices. There was a shared desire to “do more,” whether that meant exploring new media, participating in liberatory work, or simply having the time to hang out together. This exhibition is a point of reset. In the way it presented the artists an opportunity to re-examine their relationships with their mediums, viewers are invited to come as you are, reflect on one’s needs and “to-do” lists, and just be in the space together.

About:
Forget ordinary tributes! Dorothy Roberson, aka Chicago's Tina Turner, explodes onto the stage with a high-octane show that'll have you dancing in your seat (or maybe even on it!). This 68-year-old Tina Turner maverick isn't here to imitate – she's here to ignite. Prepare to be swept away by her powerhouse vocals that fill the room and a stage presence that crackles with charisma. Every show is an interactive journey, with Dorothy leading the charge. She belts out classic hits such as "The Best", "River Deep Mountain High","Private Dancer", "We don’t need another Hero", and "Nutbush City Limits", just to name a few. Sing along! Dance along! "Proud Mary"! This is more than a concert; it's an experience you won't forget!
COULD THE ENERGETIC, VIVACIOUS, BEAUTIFUL AND TALENTED DOROTHY ROBERSON BE THE ONE TO KEEP TINA TURNER LEGACY ALIVE?
Dorothy Roberson is a well respected Live Chicago’s Tina Turner Tribute Artist. Dorothy Roberson is considered The Tina Turner Maverick with her amplified vocals that fills a room large or small that stems from her singing in a gospel church choir of 40 years! Some have said that she sounds as though she has a built in microphone because of her booming voice!
Dorothy now 68, has the energy of a 25 year old, when it comes to performing the music of the late Tina Turner. Dorothy is a well respected and highly praised live Tina Turner tribute artist who started off experimenting with the music of Tina Turner in front of iconic Chicago landmark buildings such as the Corner of Macys on State St., Chicago Theater, and outside the Wrigley Building. Dorothy was desperate and determined to find a musical way to make ends meet to support herself after similar parallel marriage situation as the Late Tina Turner. After an emotional divorce that left her financially crippled at age of 53 she put her strong gospel singing voice into action. Dorothy could be found every summer perfecting her Tina Turner Craft hoping that she could be potentially booked on a real stage platform. After six years of Tina Turner Street performing her resilience and determination finally paid off when she appeared on major Chicago newspapers, magazine covers, numerous radio interviews and appearances on the news. The exposure she received through the media led to the rise of what we know now as Chicago’s Tina Turner!

About Katelynn Tomney:
A native New Yorker, Katelynn made the move to Chicago 7 years ago. Her previously recorded EPs can be heard under the band name "Kate and the black roses", where she is the songwriter, lead vocalist and guitarist. She just released her newest EP “For You” with a coinciding music video shot in Morocco.
She can also be heard singing with her husband in his band “K-Nein” that is an original project, and occasional Grateful Dead cover band. Kate and K-Nein also preform as an acoustic duo, with a single up on all streaming platforms called “Extraordinary ride”, and have an album forthcoming.
Currently Kate lives with her husband and their cattle dog Blume on their farm in Michigan, where they have a music school and are setting up for their first music festival.
Kate is so excited to host the second annual Joni Mitchell tribute and to share her love of Joni Mitchell’s song catalogue with amazing musicians and audiences alike!
“Case of you” was the first song Kate every heard by Joni Mitchell, but “All I want” holds a special place in her heart and she even quoted it in her wedding vows to her husband- “all I really want our love to do, is to bring out the best in me, and in you”
About Erin Daigle:
Erin Daigle is a Chicago-based singer-songwriter. As the daughter of a guitarist/composer, Erin began her musical journey at a young age. Since then, she has moved on from her father’s studio as a background singer, to forging her own way as a vocalist. This former choral educator has graced the stages of Chicago with her soulful and sincere covers of familiar tunes. Graduating from her time as a cover artist, she has now become a thoughtful lyricist in her own original songs. Stayed tuned for this upcoming artists as she begins her solo career.
About Heather Mall:
Heather Mall is a singer-songwriter and music teacher from Chicago. Telling stories through song is her passion and showing up as your authentic self is her motto, and that’s why Joni Mitchell is an inspiration to her.
Heather discovered the genius works of Joni after her music was mentioned several times on the beautiful TV show, ‘This Is Us’. Heather started really honing in on her own songwriting abilities, and was instantly captivated by Joni’s poetic lyricism. A song she’d heard before like Big Yellow Taxi, was seen in a whole new light after truly listening to the lyrics and Heather’s favorite song, Both Sides Now, became a staple song in her life.
Thank you to everyone here tonight, Heather’s family and friends, and to Joni for this universal and eternal art she’s shared with us.
You can find more of Heather’s music on social media @heathermallmusic

About Mike Gronsky:
After a decade of touring and recording as a guitarist with other bands and artists, Mike Gronsky’s debut full-length album, “In The Springtime” is a declaration of vulnerability and hope through hardship. These ten songs illustrate death and rebirth through the lens of our land, our habits and our deepest relationships. Mike’s diverse and emotive guitar playing shines through this record while complimenting his soaring yet sensitive vocal melodies and texturally rich arrangements.
As a relatively-new resident of Nashville, Tennessee, Gronsky is stepping forward with watermelon-sized choruses, an all-star cast of musicians, and intimate, energetic performances featuring everything from synths to slide guitar. This perfectly imperfect “folk record with some hair on its chest” pulls no punches while simultaneously leaving the listener more hopeful than when they arrived. Centering the theme of Gronsky’s debut record, the title track boasts, “In the springtime, the earth is ripe for change, and so am I”.
About Codetta South:
Codetta South is the music of Brennan White, a Nashville native who is known for writing deeply intimate and thought provoking songs, peppering in tasteful guitar playing and musical moments via his keen ear for production and musical movement.

Attend the opening reception for Lindsay Olson’s exhibit MANUFACTURED RIVER on Friday, March 28, 6:00-9:00pm.
Stickney, Illinois interviewing personnel, attending seminars and reading deeply, Lindsay Olson learned the science behind what engineers do to treat human wastewater. Returning to the studio, she used an assortment of elegant fibers, embroidery and stitching techniques to create richly colored textiles that help explain how water can be endlessly recycled if we care for it properly. Wastewater treatment has been the most successful public health initiative in the history of human beings and Olson’s Manufactured River brings awareness to its importance to the future of clean water.
Located subgrade in the undercroft of the historic former Church of the Epiphany, the brick and timbered Catacombs Gallery alludes to spaces where wastewater flows and atmospherically lends as a backdrop for the exhibit. Experientially for visitors, the exhibit will additionally present a choreographed sound installation composed by music engineer and producer Jon Smith, recorded in part, on site at the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant.

Event Details
Attend the opening reception for Jonathan Franklin’s THE YELLOW GUITAR on Friday, March 28, from 6:00-9:00pm.
Musical instruments can often be seen as objects of exquisite complexity and beauty. Aesthetically, they are beautiful objects in themselves, but it is when they are played that instruments become mesmerizing and transformative. Inspired by the vivid colors and playful motifs in Henri Matisse’s 1939 painting La Musique (The Music), Jonathan Franklin’s exhibition The Yellow Guitar pays homage to Matisse’s masterwork, while presenting a whimsical array of musical instruments and performers in perfect harmony with Epiphany Center for the Arts’ historic Sanctuary space and intimate music venue.
For Franklin, the guitar has always represented something accessible and romantic. Unlike a piano, the guitar is portable, and its six strings open to a world of acoustic and vocal possibilities. He credits Elvis Presley and the Beatles for sparking his first inclination to play the guitar. As a teenager, Franklin belonged to a group called The Insex, which was the best (and only) American rock band between Calcutta and Bangkok. Since those halcyon days from decades ago, his love for music in all its shapes and forms has never ebbed.
In this series of paintings, the characters showcase a variety of instruments, from guitars to drums, violins, and saxophones, among others. All that is left for the viewer is to imagine the music.

Event Details
Attend the Opening Reception for Helen Geglio and Anders Zanichkowsky’s exhibit GUARDIAN THREADS on Friday, March 28, from 6:00-9:00pm.
Guardian Threads brings together the evocative works of Helen Geglio and Anders Zanichkowsky, highlighting deep themes of comfort, protection, and peace woven into their textiles to mark the passage of time.
A selection of work from Helen Geglio's various textile series delve into narratives of memory, motherhood, and resilience, using repurposed materials to craft intricate pieces that protect and honor life journeys and the stories of women. Her Amulet Bundles are meditations on motherhood. Worries and fears for our children are bundled up and tied, held tightly inside protective layers of cloth. Anxiety Shields ward off the circular thoughts of sleepless nights when the world seems on end. Geglio’s Wisdom Cloaks pay tribute to the accumulated knowledge, experience and maturity of women, while honoring the resilience and wisdom of women through the ages.
Anders Zanichkowsky's burial blankets offer a distinctive sense of comfort and peace. Long before they’re used as a burial shroud, these memento mori are meant to serve as a blanket, bedspread, wall hanging, altar piece, or shawl that gathers the essence of personal memories over time. The handwoven shrouds, crafted from natural fibers, then provide a gentle, protective cocoon that honors the departed while supporting eco-friendly burial practices. As these blankets transition from everyday use to their final, sacred purpose, they embody a seamless journey from life to death, offering profound solace and tranquility to both the living and the departed.
Together, within Epiphany Center for the Arts’ most intimate gallery, Geglio and Zanichkowsky’s works invite viewers to reflect on the comforting and protective qualities of textiles, the peace they bring both in life and death, and the enduring legacies woven into the fabric of our lives.

Event Details
Attend the opening reception for Katrin Schnabl’s QUALIA on Friday, March 28, from 6:00-9:00pm.
QUALIA is an invitation for an amplified embodied sensory experience - the way it feels to “feel.” Quale (s)/ qualia(pl), defined as instance(s) of subjective conscious experience, presents a paradox: debated as something that does not exist, or conversely, be something of great neuroscientific significance. Katrin Schnabl views QUALIA as a sensory phenomenon, an inter-firing that naturally occurs without thought, yet possesses a visceral impact all its own.
Schnabl’s exhibit presents a series of sculptures and scrolls, SISTERS, along with several works from her PORTAL series, which resemble doorframes and scrolls swathed in a surface of sheer, colorful fabrics, curvilinearly stitched together, forming a dimensional unit.
EWNS (an acronym for East West North South) is a large format hanging tapestry, structured as a triptych. EWNS forms a continuous circle, split open, and experienced in three, 30-foot sections. Conjuring maps and migratory patterns over a spherical form, it is a meditation on the complementing function of our bodies’ halves: a side for fielding circular inputs, and a side for cardinal directions. Participatorily, it offers an embodied deliberation on what is embedded into many languages as the right and the left, highlighting distinctions between what is considered proper and lawful versus what is deemed less important or significant. As a visual journey across a landscape, the structure’s borders become an activation of color fields, a continuous series of neighboring contact points with varying resonances, direction, and dimension via line, texture, form, light, and movement.
Schnabl is interested in the experiential dimensions of her work. A commonality is its invitation for a somatic sensory reading; a sense-making through moving and exploring its dynamic and dimensional potential. Schnabl’s work invokes an impulse to “step inside,” as a way to process its information with the entire body, and she considers this as “yoU aRe A Work Of Art “– short URAWOA. Her offering leans into the trust the individual brings to their body as an extraordinary instrument, and Schnabl’s wish for that amplification. Photo credit: James Prinz

A champion equestrian since childhood, Irene still rides and competes. She also made her mark in Hollywood, appearing in General Hospital and movies like Home Alone 2 and Killer Klowns From Outer Space.

In her late 70s, Irene became a House Music Diva with the hit song "I Like Rain," which won "Best Pop Song of the Year" at the Josie Music Awards. She signed record deals with TRAX Records and Tribeca Records, earning Grammy nomination consideration and several other accolades.
Irene's live one-woman shows in Chicago and New York sell out. She shares her life stories and inspires audiences. Her social life is vibrant and filled with high society and celebrity events. About Lake Effect
Lake Effect Records invites you to celebrate a night of friendship, community and dance.
We’re building a soundsystem! Many of you have attended our open air free parties, and we’ve been graciously using our friend Dee’s speakers. We’re now starting the process of fabricating our own, compact, high fidelity sound system for use in parks and smaller venues! March 29th we’re gathering to enjoy a stellar lineup of residents who are all integral components to our parties, and masterful behind the 1’s and 2’s. We’re using all funds received from the night to aid us in the process of building this system. With this system, we aim to bring you far more free parties and fundraisers with higher fidelity sound! Anything helps, but most importantly come dance with us on the 29th!
Otherself [Live]
Eddy [Otherself]: lake effect’s psy-bandit has been hoarding, and refining hours of the boomiest, squiggliest grooves this side of the Mississippi. Saturday he will be hauling his echo realm resonator and interdimensional transmission receiver into the Sanctuary, and transporting us to an’Other’ dimension.
DJ Scari x Swesdo x Rimjickles [mandatory rim check]
High velocity cowgirl DJ Scari and party rocking Swesdo team up with swag surfer: RimJickles. A riptide will be hurling through the sanctuary as the trio take us through a sonic experiment ready to ignite the dancefloor.
2tipz
Megan AKA “2tipz” is a chicago based DJ. Cutting her teeth in the Chicago and Denver bass scene, Megan’s sharpened her skills behind the decks and is sure to bring us formidable grooves. Megan's had quite the impact on the team from teaching Relativity Lounge how to spin, providing a space for so many to enjoy music over the years, insane baking skills, and creating an array of insane visual art. Megan has proven to be an asset to not only the Lake Effect community, but anywhere she graces with her presence.
Daynables
Helping kick off Lake Effect’s first parties, booking residents to play their first shows before Lake Effect Records inception, Dayna will be kicking us off this evening. A music aficionado, a “DJ’s DJ”, and now budding producer, Dayna’s going to lay the rock solid foundation for an evening of dance and reverie.

Reflections presents Daniel Lanois
Date: Friday, April 4th, 2025
Doors: 5PM for Golden Hour | 7PM to the Hall
Showtime: 8PM
Tickets: General Admission- $53.05
About:
REFLECTIONS presents an evening of sound and light with legendary ambient producer Daniel Lanois. Blending studio-to-stage techniques, Lanois will perform a solo ambient set for pedal steel and sampler, using a multitrack setup to reimagine his existing material in real time. We’ll announce his opening artist soon; you don’t want to miss this rare opportunity to see Lanois live in Chicago.
⟴
DANIEL LANOIS is a producer, singer, pedal steel guitarist, and visionary sound designer, born in Quebec, Canada, now based in Los Angeles.
With his production partner Brian Eno, Lanois made a series of timeless records that practically define the ambient genre. 1982’s Ambient 4: On Land. 1983’s Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks. 1984’s The Pearl. Each one evokes a sense of weightlessness and gentle abstraction, bringing to the foreground a series of ethereal, yet visceral, landscapes.
Further albums with Jon Hassell, Harold Budd, U2, Bob Dylan, and Peter Gabriel further expanded the idea of studio-as-instrument, making every part of the production an integral component of the overall texture, and striking the perfect balance between avant-garde experimentation and straightforward pleasure.
His first major pop production effort was on U2's The Unforgettable Fire (1984). His work attracted the attention of Peter Gabriel, who hired Lanois to produce the album So (1986). Combined with the commercial success of So, Lanois's work on U2's The Joshua Tree (1987) and Achtung Baby (1991) made him the most sought-after producer in rock music.
Yet Lanois is a songwriter, and his solo work mines the spiritual expanse of his lived experience. With his gliding pedal steel guitar, his albums explore grassroots music, French impressionism, electronic soundscapes, dub, Mexican ballads, gospel… in other words, a world of depth and emotion, crystallized in song and sound.

About:
The Composer Discovery Project is a unique and innovative presentation of the creativity of young students, paired with a feature presentation of the work of an established composer. Each year, students of pianist Amy Wurtz explore the music of a selected composer in depth. The 2025 Composer Discovery Recital will feature the music of Chicago composer Florence B. Price, who in recent years is finally getting her well-deserved acclaim . Each student performs works by Price, and speaks about aspects of her music, her background, and her artistic vision. Price's works are performed alongside original compositions written by the students themselves, as well as works written by Ms. Wurtz specifically for her students. This multimedia presentation shines a light on future musicians as it simultaneously connects them to their historic role models.

About Marcus Bailey:
Marcus Bailey is a versatile singer, songwriter, and recording artist based in Chicago, Illinois. Originally from Pickerington, Ohio, Marcus’s deep connection to music began at an early age. He was profoundly influenced by the timeless melodies of The Beatles and Elton John, which his grandparents would play, as well as the contemporary pop sounds his mother would often have playing around the house.
These early musical experiences sparked a lifelong passion that would ultimately shape his career. In 2019, Marcus moved to Chicago to pursue his dream of becoming a professional recording artist. He enrolled at Columbia College Chicago, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Contemporary Jazz and Popular Music (CJP BMus) in May of 2023. During his time in Chicago, Marcus had the opportunity to collaborate with other prominent musicians including Morris Hayes of New Power Generation, Woody Goss of Vulfpeck, and Nick Tremulis of Nick Tremulis and the Prodigals, among others. These collaborations helped refine his sound and further solidified his place in the city’s vibrant music scene.
Marcus’s original music spans a broad spectrum of genres, from pop and rock to singer-songwriter ballads, blues, and country. His work draws inspiration from a diverse array of iconic artists, such as Ed Sheeran, Stevie Wonder, Chris Stapleton, and Elton John, blending contemporary sensibilities with classic influences. In addition to his solo work, Marcus has contributed his talents to other projects, providing songwriting, arranging, and vocal work for groups like DZ Riley and Disco Lemonade. At the heart of Marcus’s music is a desire to connect with his listeners on a deeper emotional level. He uses his songs to explore the complexities of life’s ups and downs, seeking to understand and express the emotions that define the human experience.
Through his lyrics, he hopes to provide listeners with something they can relate to, offering both solace and insight as they navigate their own journeys. Marcus released his debut EP, In The End, in May 2023, a project that showcases his unique blend of genres and heartfelt storytelling. He is currently working on new music, with plans to release more projects in 2025. As he continues to grow as an artist, Marcus Bailey remains committed to creating music that resonates deeply with his audience, reflecting both his personal experiences and the shared emotions that unite us all.
About Liam Taylor:
The stage has always been home for Liam Taylor. At the young age of 5, he spent most of his time acting in plays and musicals. After years of performing other people’s work, Taylor decided, as a queer man growing up in the South, it was time to tell his own stories. In his short career, he has worked with artists including Johnathon McReynolds, Erykah Badu, Woody Goss of Vulfpeck, and many more. Since releasing music in 2022, he has performed at many of the city's acclaimed festivals, including Lollapalooza, T aste of Chicago, and Market Days, and has headlined shows in New York, Dallas, and in different parts of Europe.
In 2024, he began releasing a string of singles from his first album, 26 missed calls, getting 300K+ streams across all platforms. He intends to create safe spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals across the globe through his unique, energetic and eclectic pop music.
This is merely the beginning for Taylor, so don't miss out on an opportunity to see him in one of Chicago’s most intimate venues!

About:
With Get Your Back Into It!, Chicago native, guitarist and vocalist Nick Moss and New Jersey native, harmonica player and vocalist Dennis Gruenling – together with Rodrigo Mantovani on bass, Taylor Streiff on keyboards and Pierce Downer on drums – deliver a deeply rooted, timeless blue collar blues album. According to Moss, “We are a rare breed as far as how authentic we like to keep the music." That's not a surprise to longtime fans, as Moss proudly represents the city of Chicago as one of the few bluesmen working today to have learned his craft firsthand directly from many of the genre’s original creators.
Moss first made a name for himself playing bass for bluesman Jimmy “Fast Fingers” Dawkins. Dawkins encouraged Nick to unleash his fire and passion. From there, Moss was chosen by Willie “Big Eyes” Smith to join his Legendary Blues Band, but Smith insisted Moss switch to guitar. Blues icon Jimmy Rogers (whose best known songs included "Walking By Myself" and "Ludella") hired Moss as his touring guitarist, mentoring him on the blues lifestyle along the way. Today, Moss’ blistering fretwork, impassioned, soul-charged vocals and memorable original songs place him in a league of his own.
Now, with Get Your Back Into It! and upcoming North American and European tours in the works, The Nick Moss Band Featuring Dennis Gruenling will bring their brash, exciting blues to old fans and new. Performing at clubs, concert halls and on festival stages across the country and around the world, the band ignites an irresistible, musical firestorm onstage. “When we get together, the music takes over,” says Moss. “We can’t hold back, and the energy just comes pouring out. We get carried away and the audience gets carried away with us.”

About Proxoxie:
Before Chicago, Proxoxie hit the Detroit scene with 2021 EP “Dream Sequence,” in which a serial killer archetype yearns for deliverance in pop melodies over trap beats. Drawn to the sonic genre-blending of scenecore, yet repelled by its subculture, Proxoxie eclipsed her identity with uncanny personas inspired by the true crime, internet horror, and fanfiction she blogs about, finding not just escape from a toxic community, but agency in the vengeful victim to cold-case criminal narrative. After Proxoxie’s second concept, “Fanfiction EP” her first brush with burnout left her longing to push the boundaries of alternative music further than individualized reactions to disturbing grotesquerie. SoundCloud’s exclusive “Live, Laugh, Lobotomy,” in a series of singles, charted the path for Proxoxie to depart from angst and dig deeper beside trusted collaborators. Her debut, “Darling, It Wouldn’t Be A Party Without You,” packs Proxoxie’s authentic voice into a hardstyle EDM punch. That record gave us realism—forthcoming “Hotel Proxoxie” stages surreal journeys to self-acceptance in seven sinful acts, over twinkling elevator muzak. Now, with “everysecondeverymoment” PROXOXIE explores the genre of trace in her newest unreleased album.
About Sybyr:
Sybyr (formerly Syringe), is an American Trap Metal artist, vocalist, and producer from Prince George's County, Maryland. In 2015, he adopted the name Syringe and became one of the first artists in the genre of Trap Metal. Under this alias he released his most popular release to date "Anti-World" together with the collective of the same name, wich emerged from Weird CLVN. His most recognised song is also from this album, namely "I Like Being" with nearly 14 million streams on Spotify.
About Quentin Heartz:
Quentin Heartz is an artist based in the Southside of San Antonio, Texas who’s created a loyal following from all over the world through multiple songs in genres such has rap, indie and EDM that have been uploaded since 2015. In 2019, he had released music for his brief time living in Seoul, South Korea. Unfortunately, upon a hospital visit a brain tumor was discovered which led to a life changing surgery before moving back to San Antonio in 2020. After months of recovery and a year hiatus, Quentin came back into the music scene full force by dropping more singles, performing more shows and going viral multiple times through showcasing his unique style in hopes of showing his peers you can overcome any obstacle, no matter how difficult. Unpacking the layers of Quentin Heartz you’ll find a genuine admiration for the early 2000s, 3D art and obscurity. Quentin heartz integrates his experiences in his songwriting in multiple genres, cultivating a style laced together with melodically sung vocals. - F. R

About:
Luciano's performance takes the audience on a tour of Brazil by presenting a wide variety of Brazilian compositions combined with his own originals. In his Performance Luciano contrasts songs that have rich and complex harmonies and melodies with simple rhythms against songs that have simple harmonies and melodies with very complex rhythms, and the dynamics range from pure solo guitar and voice to the full sound of the rich Brazilian percussion in a fascinating musical way. Luciano released three albums, two of which are original music "Vida De Artista - An Artist's Life" in 2011 and “Sem Palavras – Without Words” in 2015. His 3rd Album is a 'Live Concert" at the prestigious Jazz Showcase. Make no mistake; Luciano has placed his stamp on the Brazilian music scene in Chicago.

About the Show:
How can a musical community come together to emotionally process life in a changing and forever-changed environment? The three compositions in this performance explore responses to this question by composers Scott Rubin, Alissa Voth and Ben Zucker as well as videographer Zack Sievers. Performers seek to create a shared musical space for reckoning with themes of nature, loss, nostalgia, erosion and erasure on multiple planes. Interspersed between these pieces are short film clips exploring themes of ritual, healing, and environmental change in which both the musicians from the trio and some of their friends engage with the rapidly changing ecosystems of the Warren Dunes.
Composing the Climate is a continuation of pianist Cacie Miller's doctoral project. This set of pieces was commissioned and collaboratively prepared by Miller and Missing Piece (Dan Galat and Kelly Quesada). Each work takes a distinct approach to facing the changing climate. Rubin’s trio narrates the history of human “progress” and its destructive march in a work that interleaves notated and improvised movements. Voth’s work sensitively explores “Solastalgia,” mourning of an anticipated loss. Zucker’s piece uses the instrumentation of the piano trio to model the concept of subscendence, as the trio members shift between listening to themselves and each other as they move through Zucker’s indeterminacy-sprinkled score.
These commissions and their preparation were funded in part by the Illinois Arts Council.
Cacie Miller, piano
Cacie Miller has relied on the sounds and repertoire of the piano to help her make sense of the world around her since a young age. She is drawn to compositions packed with colorful storytelling and especially those that seem to push through the edges of reality. She relishes these qualities in the music time honored composers such as Beethoven, Liszt, Debussy and Bartok, and in contemporary composers such as Lera Auerbach and Reena Esmail. Sometimes Cacie improvises and composes on her instrument.
Cacie’s musicianship was fostered by several teachers throughout her university studies. She studied piano with William Heiles, Rebecca Penneys, and Robert Glover, theory with Steve Laitz, and harpsichord with Charlotte Mattax Moersch. She holds degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (DMA in Performance and Literature), the Eastman School of Music (MA in theory pedagogy), Houghton University (MM in piano), and the University of Southern Maine (BM in piano). These studies informed Cacie’s playing and her own teaching through work on body/emotion integration at the piano, use of analytical practices to inform interpretive decisions, and practicing intentional listening to prepare communicative performances.
With hope of working toward sustainable cultural practices, Cacie has been actively working on the project Composing Our Climate, which began during her doctoral research. This project focuses on performer-driven commissioned chamber works written to work through emotional reckonings with the climate crisis.
Dan Galat, violin
Dan Galat is a Chicago-based violinist and violist, a classically trained performer comfortable across a wide range of styles and techniques. Working primarily with living composers, Dan can be found with Chicago's new music ensembles such as Fulcrum Point New Music or as the concertmaster of Chicago Composers Orchestra. Dan Galat is the founding member of Missing Piece with cellist Kelly Quesada, a Chicago music ensemble that endeavors to commission new musical works and works from other artistic disciplines on themes that inspire others to connect with their community, care for our environment, listen deeply to ourselves and others, and speak out against injustice.
Dan Galat is active across a variety of styles, including Baroque music with the Bach Cantata Vespers, or as a recording musician, recently with Manuel Cinema in their short film Future Feeling. Dan was the violinist, violist, and backup vocalist for the 24-show premiere in Chicago of Illinoise, the adaptation of Sufjan Stevens's album into a musical now on Broadway. Dan has freelanced with many orchestras including Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, Louisiana Philharmonic, and Columbus Indiana Philharmonic (concertmaster). Dan received his BM and MM at Indiana University, studying with Kevork Mardirossian, Desiree Ruhstrat, and Joseph Swensen.
Kelly Quesada, cello
Kelly is a Chicago transplant who continuously finds herself inspired by the city, its history, and its potential. She has 2 college degrees in classical cello performance and has lived and worked in three distinct regions of the US (Alabama, Oregon, Ohio) before landing in Chicago. She divides her time between practicing and performing music, teaching music, helping out in her communities, and trying to find little pockets of joy.
Scott Rubin, composer
Scott Rubin is Chicago-based interdisciplinary artist and improvising violist whose work interrogates relationships between sound and movement through analog and digital means. His recent projects have involved collaborations with musicians and dancers, often incorporating interactive acoustic/electronic improvisation, expanded performance practices, motion-sensing data, and live video. In these projects, he engages themes of intimacy, control, and the sublime.

Alissa Voth (she/her) is a composer and paper artist based in Chicago IL. Her creative work explores narrative and the unconscious mind with an artistic focus on the voice and woven imagery. Recent works include commissions from Masso Quartet, Garden Unit, Timothy Hanley, and Tyler Harper. Additionally, her music has recently been performed by the Stare at the Sun choir, the Unheard-of Ensemble, and Seth Parker Woods. Her music has been premiered and performed at festivals and venues such as at the UT Contemporary Music Festival, Constellation’s Fequency Series, the New School of Music, the Cortona Sessions for New Music, the Isador Bajic School, the deCordova Sculpture Museum, the Boston New Music Initiative, and the North American Saxophone Alliance. She is a PhD candidate at the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University, where she focuses her studies on music cognition and composition pedagogy. She formerly attended the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, which she now returns to as composition faculty for their summer composition intensive program.
Ben Zucker, composer
Ben Zucker uses music to speculate on the systems and shapes of change, which has lead to a wide-ranging career as a composer, multi-instrumentalist improviser, producer, and cultural worker, with contributions to experimental scenes across North America and Europe. Acclaimed as a "master of improvisation" (IMPOSE Magazine), and “more than a little bit remarkable” (Free Jazz Blog), their work includes “stirring compositions…built on a lifetime of musical curiosity” (Chicago Reader), performed by artists including Third Coast Percussion, Ensemble Dal Niente, David Moliner, Khorikos, the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, Distractfold Ensemble, and Musica Nucleo Nova. As a performer, he utilizes vibraphone, brass, keys, voice, and electronics across styles including with musicians such as Anthony Braxton, Gareth Davis, the Vocal Constructivists, Karen Borca, Rinde Eckert, and Beth Orton, and makes frequent local appearances as an ensemble contributor and bandleader of experimental jazz quartet Fifth Season and creative music collective Mad Myth Science, the latter called “the next generation of Chicago jazz” by the Quietus. Following PhD studies at Northwestern University, they continue to live in Chicago, working as a freelance musician, lecturer, President of New Music Chicago, and curator for Elastic Arts’ Improvised Music Series.
Zack Sievers, videographer
Zack Sievers’ research background in time consciousness, haptics, and temporal aesthetics (PhD Philosophy, Villanova 2024) informs cinematography aesthetics for Composing the Climate’s new performance. Sievers creates 3 silent monochrome films, all shot at Lake Michigan dunes locations, gravitating around questions of time, nature, and community. Strangers and wanderers meet in the wilderness of sand to share tea, amidst paying creative, sacred attention to the landscapes and wildlife. It is a question of both memory and imagination: how do the dunes, the leaves, the travelers, the waves, the sun and the sand, measure and record time? Recent and upcoming works in film by Sievers include directing the feature Slovene mockumentary The Good Curse of Bird Mummy Moon (releasing 2025), co-directing full album music videography with Gustavo Cortiñas' for The Crisis Knows No Borders (releasing 2025), and co-creating, writing, and producing the short sci-fi Wizdom (2024). Other notable works include “Haptic Spider: Non-Human Eye”, an experimental documentary of Spider Festival (2022), full album music videography for Gustavo Cortiñas’ Desafío Candente (2020), experimental archival documentary work on Bara Kolenc’s Izumitelj na zemlji (2021), screenwriting "Golden Voices" (2018), and directing “Haptic Cinematography” (2017) and “Closed Frame” (2014).

About:
Jacob Slocum is an artist who approaches music through the lens of Jazz. He is firmly rooted in an ethos of Soulfulness (the Blues, the music of the Black Church, and the tradition of Jazz), but he lives by Charlie Parker's words there is no boundary line to art. Jacob is an artist easily at home in a variety of settings and genres, secular or sacred, instrumental or choral. Jacob's voice as an instrumentalist is expressed on the baritone saxophone, bass clarinet, and bass saxophone.
Jacob's voice as a composer is expressed through his orchestra Jacob's Ladder, a contemporary orchestra with some of the best
musicians around who happen to reside in Chicago. With the virtuosity and versatility of everyone in this orchestra, Jacob's Ladder can effortlessly express whatever genre Jacob's eclectic music calls for. Jacob's Ladder is also a gathering of kindred spirits whose performances are full of life and fellowship. Jacob's Ladder performances feel like a beautiful synthesis of a church service and a family reunion.

About the Show:
Join us for an unforgettable evening of music and storytelling as two emerging R&B powerhouses, Kaleb Carson and Lamonté, take the stage to share their passion and talent. This concert highlights their artistry, celebrating the unique journeys that have shaped their sound as they make their mark on the music world.
About Kaleb Carson:
At just 22 years old, Kaleb Carson is a rising soul and R&B artist whose rich, soulful sound is rooted in gospel influences. Inspired by musical legends like Donny Hathaway, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, and the Clark Sisters, Kaleb has developed a style that blends genres with a unique, modern twist. Singing since the age of seven and pursuing his professional career from 12, Kaleb’s journey reflects his deep commitment to his craft. Aspiring to be a crossover artist, he aims to touch listeners across genres with his heartfelt delivery and innovative musical approach. This is only the beginning for Kaleb as he continues to rise as a dynamic force in the industry.
About Lamonté:
Sharing the stage is Lamonté, an electrifying artist whose voice is as versatile as his musical influences. With roots in church, musical theater, and a cappella, Lamonté has cultivated a sound that spans Motown, jazz, funk, and pop. After performing as a background vocalist for Danielle Crim at the Epihany last spring, Lamonté is stepping into the spotlight with his upcoming concept and project, Ascension. This transformative work reflects his journey of spiritual awakening and personal growth, showcasing original songs and reimagined classics. With passion, resilience, and authenticity, Lamonté invites audiences to experience the heart and soul of his artistry.
This night is more than a performance—it’s a celebration of evolution and connection. Don’t miss the chance to witness Kaleb Carson and Lamonté as they usher in a new chapter for R&B and soul.

About Chicago Immigrant Orchestra:
The Chicago Immigrant Orchestra, originally founded in 1999 by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, emerged as a vibrant expression of the city's rich musical diversity until the end of its initial run in 2004. Helmed at the time by Willy Schwartz, the orchestra brought together musicians from Chicago's immigrant communities, showcasing a global array of musical traditions. Though its initial run ended after 5 years, its influence lingered, leaving an indelible mark on the local music scene.
In 2019, a new chapter unfolded when the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events enlisted guitarist Fareed Haque and oud player Wanees Zarour to revive the orchestra for the 2020 Chicago World Music Festival. Despite the challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic, the orchestra persevered, delivering a lauded virtual concert in September 2020.
Today, the rejuvenated Chicago Immigrant Orchestra comprises a 20-piece ensemble drawn from Chicago's immigrant communities, representing an eclectic mix of musical heritages from across the globe. Under the artistic direction of Haque and Zarour, musicians hailing from the Far East to Western Europe, Africa, and the Americas collaboratively shape the orchestra's musical narrative.
Embracing a fresh perspective, the New Chicago Immigrant Orchestra delves into the interplay between diverse musical traditions, weaving a rich tapestry that celebrates both their shared connections and distinctive differences.

About Fernando Jones:
If one word could describe this Chicago Blues Hall of Famer and Keeping the Blues Alive Award winning "creative" named Fernando Jones it would be rare. This multi-instrumentalist started off by playing the Blues on the guitar when he was just four years old. Today, he's still going strong as a bandleader. This world-class, internationally known American Bluesman, educator and songwriter was born to loving Mississippi parents on the Southside of Chicago. Jones is one of a few living African American Bluesmen to have a tribute album of his compositions done by a band on a different continent; Jona's Blues Band of Rome, Italy is the group.
Jones has performed his compositions from basement parties to the University of Hawaii to The Smithsonian Institute to the Conservatory of Music in Pescara, Italy to nightclubs in Havana, Cuba. Here is a sample of his scholarly writing in the Journal of Popular Music Studies and awards. In January 2020, the National Association of Music Merchants invited him to host a lecture on the impact of Blues Pedagogy. As a lecturer Fernando Jones has established Blues Camps for youths on the continents of Asia, Europe, North America and the Caribbean island of Cuba. Here's an interview on him done by The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library.
As evident of his work(s) demonstrate; here’s why Fernando Jones, a Keeping the Blues Alive Award recipient and Chicago Blues Hall of Fame member is worth investing in as a performer, lecturer and/or an artist-in-residence. Fernando Jones is original in his approach to music with a focus on the Blues and the performing arts.

40 Years from Ukraine to the World – Vopli Vidoplyassova 2025 North American Tour
For four decades, Vopli Vidoplyassova (VV) has been Ukraine’s ultimate cultural ambassador, with anthems sung by heart by every Ukrainian. As the first Ukrainian band to tour internationally and gain global fame, their music has crossed borders, bringing the spirit of Ukraine to the world through their explosive fusion of punk, rock, and folk.
From the Soviet underground to global festival stages, VV has shaped the sound of generations and remains a symbol of Ukrainian identity and resistance. They made history performing at WOMAD, Sziget, Montreux Jazz Festival, Woodstock Poland, and Rock am Ring. Over the years, VV has collaborated with world music icons like Goran Bregović, Manu Chao, and Khaled, continuously pushing boundaries. Their influence is undeniable—Eugene Hütz of Gogol Bordello calls them his musical teachers, a legacy now featured in a recent Gogol Bordello documentary.
Beyond his work with Vopli Vidoplyassova, Oleg Skrypka is also the founder of Kraina Mriy, one of Ukraine’s oldest and most influential festivals. A platform for cultural exchange and the development of new
Ukrainian artists, Kraina Mriy has also become one of the most credible charity organizations supporting hospitals and other vital Ukrainian causes.
Now, after almost a decade, VV is returning to North America for an explosive tour celebrating 40 years of music, resilience, and cultural revolution! Experience their legendary hits, including Весна (Spring), Танці (Dances), Галя, ходи (Halia, Come Here), Країна мрій (Land of Dreams), Любов (Love), and День народження (Birthday)—and be ready for musical surprises!
This tour is more than music—it’s a mission. 100% of the proceeds from charity auctions during each show will go directly to support Ukraine, including medical aid and humanitarian relief through Kraina Mriy.

About Ine'a J:
Ine’a J, also known as The Pen Fairy, singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Chicago’s very own rising gem has been shining in the music scene with her sultry voice, illustrious pen game, and radiating music.
Debuting her first single “4EVA” in December of 2021, Ine’a is well on her way as her projects have already received press from Lyrical Lemonade, The Chicago Reader, Vocalo Radio, Real Ones, The Ghetto Flower, & more. “Planet J” her preeminent 6 track EP, released in 2022, created such a captivating era for the artist and her supporters performing around Chicago and leading into heavily anticipated future releases. Her second studio project "The Colors" EP of 2023, has left such an impact as she embodies true craftsmanship. The artist connects emotions and colors, leaving us to relate through a musical body of art. This led to her first headliner at Reggie's Chicago and stamping her mark with The Chicago Reader. In 2025 the artist follows Planet J with a coinciding space themed yet soulful project titled “4”, continuing her supporters on her musical journey followed by her second headliner at Epiphany Center for the Arts. Singles such as “Wait 4 U”, “Promises”, &“10/10” (mastered by Grammy award winning & 32 nominee James Auwarter), paved the artist into a new era of pop-R&B.
Not only is she musically talented, but Ine’a is well rounded as an educated scholar holding an MBA and BSBA from Loyola University Chicago and the University of Missouri at Columbia. Ine’a J is also a businesswoman with her brand “The Repertoire” on ineaj.com encapsulating all of her creative talents including fashion, music, modeling, as well as e-commerce retailing. The Repertoire has received press from Vox Magazine, Who We Are Now Project 2020, and The Christian Science Monitor. Her brand promotes “Embrace the uncomfortable & Walk with purpose” as something we should all be reminded by.
